Run from hotel down a couple of blocks to Canada Place. Run around it. Then I head West along the path down by the water to the entrance to Stanl...

Re: Army 1/2 Bib

Not sure how Sportstsats will handle these last minute changes. They have been very strict in the past at OWR and Army run. No Changes at last minute. They do offer an exchange, but only for a certain time frame. If someone Is going to race/run under another person, I hope they do as Lisa suggested ...

Very sad news indeed... I had the Best vacation Ever on their organized Cruise to Run last year. He made sure that we came prepared to give something back to each community we visited. Always thinking of others. He made us Laugh the whole week. I can't imagine how his wife Jody is coping at this mom...

Re: Cruise 2 Run -- anyone know anything about it?

I did not see a whole lot of kids, but that was probably because I hung around the adult pool area a lo...

Re: My First Race

Well not my first.. But first marathon. I had been on a weight loss journey and lost about 60lbs then. Started running, and did a 10k in 2006, along with some sprint tris.. Then signed up for a marathon clinic in 2007. I run alone, so this was a new challenge for me. But I was lucky and had a great ...

open water swimming. First time in a wetsuit

Hey, hi. I have been a swimmer since forever... I can swim 3000 - 5000m easily in a pool. When I was younger, say 20 odd years ago, I could swim across a lake of 4km. Well, not no much now adays at 45. I panic in open water swims. Tomorrow morning I am doing a 3km swim in open water in a wetsuit for...

Funny, so many of the little ones who finished near the end were to shy or afraid to get the medal. Handed it to the parent. D was just waiting for it.... Too cute :)

I was the lucky one to give her the medal. We were all cheering at the finish line. Watching dad on his knees, arms held out waiting for her. Proud dad I am sure. And Super mom for running with her :) Marc from Zoom Photo got some wonderful shots. She's a cutie :)

I saw Laura( aka SF) around the 900m to the finish line. I noticed her with the great arms and CWX capris :) I wanted to scream out " Go Spirit Go". But, she seemed so focussed that I did not want to interup that. She looked great near then end :)
