Re: Got some Scottish pride?
" Perth's World Record Kilt Race ". Just pulled out my 2 kilts from when I was about 6 or 7. The two ends just meet in the middle. Maybe I could win a prize for the oldest kilt. :D Lots of Scottish pride here....maiden name "Cameron" (from the vicious fighting clan).

OK, without using my calculator, that's approx. 20k's /day for either stat. I am totally impressed at the consistency, and absolutely no set backs.

Steve wore it tonight and really liked it, didn't bother him at all. It was raining out, but not hard, so no problems, but like you said it could get some water in if it rained hard enough, I guess.

Re: Head Lamp Suggestions
The hardest part was figuring out how to open the thing to put the batteries in.
I didn't know this but Steve also ordered a $5.00 one from China, it came today, we'll see how well that one works and for how long.

Our headlamp came today-WOW that was fast!!! Haven't opened it yet though. Hubby's away and it's kind of for him, so I thought I would let him have the pleasure (if I can hold off until Thursday).

And might I just add: I do NOT much like running with the Garmin!!! The pace is always jumping around and I'm never sure if it's right... Not sure which Garmin you use, but you can put the display on "average pace", so it doesn't jump around so much. I have the 301 and I have it set up so...

Re: Garmin 301 Troubles
Ever since I came home from BC, I can't get a satellite. I just did a soft reset, hoping that will fix it. I'm coming to terms with the fact that maybe it's just old and dying. It's been good to me. Anyone else had this problem and had it fix itself? When I went from Winnipeg to southern Ontario to...

Ok, I just finished running AND I did some stretching. I'm going to try and be consistent for the next while and see if it makes a difference.
Thanks Kristen for starting this thread as I had been wondering for quite some time about stretching.

Re: More Miles = More Stretching?
I also find that as the miles or intensity climb, my requirement for stretching does too. I am basically attmepting to keep my full range of motion and normal pliability of my muscles rather than attempting to dramatically INCREASE them. As I push my body, the muscles tighten up to "protect th...

Re: More Miles = More Stretching?
I think I'm even older than Purdy (Lisa), and I am probably the worst non-stretcher around. Sometimes I'll think to myself "oh, when was the last time I stretched?"-couple weeks ago.... Having said that, any stretching I do doesn't do much-I can touch my nose to my knee, standing, I can pu...

I have 2 questions about the Petzl and the Princton Tech: 1. do they both have the ability to swivel, so you can point your light where you want it?
