Today, Sunday, my longest run day, before the big day...
Lame.

75 minute run, should be awesome, I plan to run around a pond all morning. Good stuff. One Week from today, Marathon baby.

Today for me it's 11K with the half-marathon group. Should be a nice one out there. I ran pain-free yesterday, so I'm happy about that! Have a nice one, everybody.

A gorgeous morning here. I am running 10K after hubby gets back from seeing off some of his soldiers to Afghanistan. It's been a while since I ran that distance, I hope the gams remember how to do it!

I just got back from a 10km run. It was pretty good, it was my first long run in a while. I ended up walking about 1km at the end as my body just gave up on me. I don't want to undo all the resting I've been doing to get rid of my pain. All in all, I think it was a pretty good run.

Yesterday was a 25km LSD, so today is weightlifting at the gym. Might ride the stationary bike first, if they have any good magazines.

First 10 and 1's of my half program. I am skipping a couple weeks to be on schedule so today is 12k.
I worked til 4:30 am and have do that again tonight so 12k is about all I will have in me!
I used to run. All the time.
Now? Notsomuch.
I'm still a runner, though.
Life is fluid and ever changing. I am too.

Gotta do some weights at the gym today. I really want to get a stronger core... I have to get back into the weights routine more regularly. I haven't gone since last Friday!
Part of it is that I absolutely hate my gym- it's full of meatheads with gold chains and girls with makeup and juicy sweats, so I feel totally hideous going in there in my grubbies (why would I wear anything else to the gym?!). I so wish Goodlife would open a location in the beach!!!
My place has spinning and all the equipment I could want though, and it's $25 a month, so I force myself to keep the membership. :(

Later on I'm going to try to convince Dave to go to the island and walk around... if it's not a total crazy zoo with Carabana going on.

nothing too active for me today. my best friend is visiting all weekend. i was supposed to go for a run with another friend today who is training for her first half. her running partner is out of town. but, after doing my long run friday, i thought it was too soon. so i walked to spring garden and all over the waterfront instead. now i am supposed to be doing homework. then out to a BBQ and to the bar with friends of my best friends who are all here from hong kong. fun!

goodness, hills aren't supposed to be easy! no worries. don't quit! you are awesome and you will bounce back, and one day you'll look at that same hill and think of how easy it is.

This will be short..I'll post more later.

Had lunch with ladechat and Andy yesterday.

When ladechat came through my water station he told me Andy crashed on the bike. A couple hours later...saw him as he was leaving the hospital...he's a little banged up...no broken bones though.

So Maniacs...send good vibes his way. I'll phone him this evening to see how he's doing.

Oh my god that awful news! It's awful when someone goes down or drops out, but when someone we know, goes down...What hospital? Kingston? Do you know when he'll be home? I'm totally down right now, I hope he recovers well!

Yikes, I was going write about my day, but it really doesn't matter now.

I hope both Andy and his bike are ok....but I'm more worried about Andy.

I went down hard once on a training ride. Not good.

Ran my longest run ever today, LSD of 36K,in just over 4 hours. My internet was crapped out all weekend so I could'nt map out a course, I just ran in Dartmouth, then across the bridge to Halifax, to the park, all around and back through Dartmouth, then back home. Had to stop at 3 gas stations to buy sports drinks!!! Was I ever thirsty!!! My legs are a bit heavy right now, but taking tomorrow off and back at it on tuesday!!!! Kentville, here I come!!!!!

P.S Peace Andy!!!! Good vibes your way!!

Cheers,

Stephan
