Good luck everyone and enjoy (some of our) home course!

I missed last year so first time on new start (aka going up to Bloor). Although Im not doing the mary this year, it could be an interesting improvement over Commissioners/Cherry St. area etc.

I was nervously getting up a lot from 2-5 (dreaming i overslept etc) and then it turns out I did slightly oversleep, and didn't actually turrn my 5:45 alarm to the set position. At least its not 9am already per my dream!

Did my 6km that is on my 10K clinic schedule. I missed the group by about 5 minutes but it worked out as the route that was designed ran past my building and I needed that pit stop  . Oh well, got back out and did my 6K and walked to the gym and made it just in time for RPM.

Now to enjoy the rest of the day.

I went outside to get the mail. It is a beautiful 15c (finally cool here). I enjoyed a few rays of sun and listened to the birds. I really liked the peacefulness of it.

If I'm reading the STWM results correctly, both Lanni Marchant (2:28:00) and Krista Duchene (2:28:32) went under the previous Canadian womens' marathon record (2:28:36, dating back to 1985). On the men's side, Rob Watson lowered his PB by 8 seconds with a 2:13:29 while Eric Gillis had a 2:11:49 to get within 20 seconds of his 2011 qualification squeaker. Both guys were likely gunning for the Canadian mens' record of 2:10:09, whose days seem to be numbered.

We're having Thanksgiving Part II today, so a turkey is on the barbecue, pumpkin pie is in the oven, and I'm contemplating going for a 15ish km trail run while the bird is roasting.

A great Sunday morning for me. I feel great this morning after Friday/Satutday back-to-back run days- first I've tried this since my Achilles flare-up last month, I feel the best I've felt since then. So I'm back.....

A lot of exciting race results coming in-- can't wait to read the reports.
Today will be rest, although I may do a short swim and then hot-tub later today. This morning-- FOOTBALL! :)

Congrats to all the racers today! The weather for Scotiabank was great and that was so nice to see after all the rain yesterday. :) Have fun celebrating!

A not exactly restful rest day for me. Lots of raking and sweeping leaves, cleaning eaves troughs, doing laundry, etc. Plus some core work and a few upper body weights in between other jobs. It is impossible to keep up with the leaves at this time of year, but we wanted to get as many of them as possible into bags before we get more rain this week and everything becomes a soggy mess. There are already lots more on the ground but I'm leaving them for now. With any luck maybe some of them will blow away. :)
