Patriots day Monday!

Postby purdy65 » Mon Apr 20, 2015 6:15 am

About to head off for a little 42k jaunt in the wind and rain. Sigh.... Oh well, it's not like I've never done this before. Last time winter training was a disadvantage. Maybe this year it's an advantage. Great day to be short though! :)

I'm so excited for Lisa and Ken, and best wishes to any one else running this day in Boston.

Good morning everyone. :) The agenda for the day is recovering, writing a race report, and following the Boston Marathon! Watching the beginning of the race now. Looking forward to following 6 friends' splits and the finish line camera later on.

Is anyone else on RM running Boston today? I think I remember HCcD's friend on here qualified for this race.

Rest day for me! Feeling the weekend's running in my legs lol.

Just came from my first meeting of the day and now I'm sitting in the yard with the puppy, wishing I didn't have to go into the office today... It's too nice out to be inside!!

12.3 very wet and windy kilometres here. My stroller running buddy texted me this morning to see if I was running - it wasn't raining too badly then, but by the time we headed it out, it was POURING! We both felt a bit crazy, but knew we'd feel better for having gotten it done! Babies were nice and dry under their rain covers, but my fingers were red and numb by the end. Warm shower, Boston-watching, tea drinking and muffin baking for the rest of the day.

No more marathons for me, let alone more of that Boston excitement. Exhausted when I got home from work today, so I had a nap. Then did my 5K progression run on the TM in my fastest time so far.
