"Students" who haven't attended a class since December (because they're intending to drop out of school this summer to turn pro) being "nurtured" by institutions that literally make billions of dollars from these games. What's not to like?

29K done before sunrise. The freezing rain overnight actually added some texture to the ice for better grip.

8k first thing this morning. Now awaiting my sister who will be picking up her dog that we have been sitting all week. It was fun!

Did my 24 minutes of run/walk according to schedule. Such a beautiful day today: sunny, still, +2 degrees, and the optimistic birds were singing. My knee felt great, too. It was sweet indeed!

Survived soccer last night and went out this afternoon for a nice & easy 3.5K in the sunshine. Almost shorts weather but not quite....

Mostly sunshine here, even a brief stretch that was almost warm before we turned the corner and found the biting breeze that had been lurking. 8.5 k done with the clinic. Clinic workouts are no longer rest days :)

First run of spring and first run on my new Adidas Springblades. They're surprisingly comfy but a little slippery and only good for short runs. Ruby Tuesday ("Team Hound") and I did 7K of downhill, uphill (walking with the pickup bag to the garbage can at the top - ah the joys of owning a dog) and then around a flat neighbourhood until I got chilly and we went home. Monday "Leg Day" all winter seems to have helped my endurance, but it's hard to tell when your partner stops every like 4 minutes to smell something.
