Sunny Saturday

Postby Spirit Unleashed » Sat Oct 28, 2017 5:25 am

Alright, I entered a race in Kansas because I was tired of being hot in Houston. It is -1 outside and I wonder how I'll survive 50 miles in a refrigerator. None the less, I picked an out and back race so I'd HAVE to finish it. Coming north to the finish I will have to dig a bit deep I'm afraid. I'll keep in mind that while I am doing 50 miles, there are 2 ladies in their 60s doing 100.

Do you know the song "I will Survive"? I will be singing it. Say go to fear. Tell pain to go away. I will survive. I've got all my life to give. Gloria Gaynor:

I did 20k on an absolutely lovely fall morning. The leaves have been so beautiful in Vancouver this year. Two weeks until Las Vegas Half Marathon. The organizers are still in the midst of making some changes to route and pre-race concert due to the shooting. It is going to be a very different event this year.

Nothing but rest for me. I've been sick for the past week and a half, and haven't run for that whole time (!). Stress and sickness... they make me want to hibernate!! Today I managed to walk the dog and go to the grocery store, and then came home for a nap!! :)
