Very cool guys - love when my running/computer time becomes learning time :).

I just googled my guy - Bruce Kidd; very interesting man who's lead a full life: a successful runner and an academic. I feel like a bit of a slacker after reading his bio! And there's a documentary about his running life that's narrated by the poet WH Auden (my academic background is in English Lit). I'll have to look for this!

Thanks for bringing these Canadian runners to our attention.
We train more joyfully and productively when we focus on the now, rather than on our future race day performance. It's a long road from here to there with many miles to go. We need to run each one. Accept where you are today and simply be thankful for the work you've accomplished. KA

I think it should be Lynn Kanuka, since that's the name she used when she was running competitive and it's still the name she uses professionally. :)

eta: actually, i think she used Williams originally when running competitively....

That's what I thought. "What, we're doing sixties revolutionaries? Can I be Bobby Seale?"

That's one advanced case of vitiligo you've got going on, Bobby.
