Half Marathon Training Plans

Postby Lazagna » Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:36 am

So, it’s been a long while since I have run anything at all (even exercised much to tell you the truth), but I have set myself a goal to run the Harvest Half Marathon in Calgary this year. My assumption is that it’ll be the last weekend in September or first Weekend in October as usual, but there is no dates on their website just yet.

So, I need a training plan that is basically a couch to half marathon, but I have roughly 30 weeks to prepare. I’ve run 8 halves in the past, with 1:52 being my best (and my first), so I’d like to aim for the sub two hour mark again.

Any ideas on the best place to get a suitable plan? I’ve seen SOOOOO many different plans out there, I thought I would reach out here as I was skiing on the weekend, and pulled out my Running Mania buff….
Mike . . . Do what you need to do NOW, so you don't deny yourself a future opportunity.
