Interesting new study shows that NOT all barefoot runners land flat foot or forefoot, far from it in fact: ... ay-to-run/

The researchers chose a different Kenyan group to study than earlier studies, and found most land heel first even when running very fast.

I've always argued that what part of your foot touches first is at most a symptom, and we have lots of examples of extremely fast and efficient runners landing each way. In other words, there is no "right" part of the foot for everyone to land on.
