10 Week 1/2 Marathon Training?

Hi jay! Welcome back. How much running are you doing now? (That is, what's your starting point for the 10 weeks?) Are you looking for a "get back up to the distance" plan or something more advanced to improve?

I'm assuming the first- 10 weeks is on the short side but I'm assuming you're not starting at zero? Hal Higdon has a basic novice program that is 12 weeks but you could jump in at week 3 if you've been doing some running already. It starts pretty gradually and only goes up to a long run of 16k but that's all you need to just get back up to the distance in a short time.

Jennifer, thank you. Jumping in at week three looks reasonable! Already running between 3 and 4.5 miles weekday mornings.
I have just lost 68lbs and eager to getting a 1/2 under my belt.
