On the road again....

Postby KaTyBrown » Fri Mar 05, 2010 12:48 pm

Went for my first *round the block* walk since November!!! Took 13 minutes as I did not want to re-injure myself
Physio is done. Shock-wave therapy - *mission accomplished* (so says physio-man) and now just limbering-up
the long muscle on the inside of the calf.
Just feel out of shape right now  guess I will have to get back into shape really quick.
No pain just know the heel is there. Will be taking it slowly for a few days but back at it!
YAYA!!!

Take care everyone!

Second BIG walk.....2.23km in 29mins. getting there - slowly but surely.
Stiffness in the ankle area but was advised that this is nothing to worry about and after the walk this morning
it seems looser. It may or may not stiffen up tonight but I am prepared.

YAY!!! my song......*on the road again...*

Take care

Will try again tomorrow. :( Had a set back. I think I pushed myself too hard with my stretches and it has hurt for a few days.
Feeling pretty good again so will head out tomorrow for a short (2km) walk and will see how it goes. <<sigh>>> getting fed up
just doing minimal stuff.

Still trying to get going. have been using the elliptical 4 x a week here but when I walk for any length it
starts to ache, Spoke to physio guy and he told me it will take a while but it will get better.

I do notice it getting better but I am so scared to re-injure the heel I have been very careful with walking.

Next week - starting Monday - I WILL be getting out in the morning and walking daily no matter how long
I am out anything is a bonus - I think :(

Take care all enjoy the summer!!!
