Vermont 100 Miler

Postby rune163 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 10:55 am

Dean Karnazes won the Vermont 100. I guess they do deliver pizzas to the trail! Even more impressive was Beverly Anderson Abbs only 25 minutes behind Dean and 2nd overall.
Times were very slow. 16:26 for the winner. I crewed Clark Zealand in 2004 and he ran 15:03 and didn't win!

Not sure what the temperatures were for the race but if it was anything like as a hot as it has been in Eastern Ontario the slower times are still to be held in awe

Wow, Clark came in second in '04? Have you two ever been in the same race?
next up:

This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day

So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day

A few times. JFK 2003 and 2004, Groundhog Fall 50k 2004, 3 Dolla Bill 50k 2005. Series current at Clark 2, Rune 1 and ties 1.

According to reports it wasn't too bad in Vermont, it went into the 80s but started at 63F. It has been much warmer in past years.

Ha ha the red necks on the Ultra list will be peeved at Dean winning it. I might as well just delete the next few digests.
