Back to start - again, yes again

Dumb me waited till it was stinkin hot to run today
Day 5: 5 min warm up: Speed walked this. It was so hot- like icky hot. I did my run near my friend's place (West end Lakeshore) which helped as it was a bit cooler down by the water.

Alternate 1.5min running with 2 mins walking for 20 mins: The next 3 runs are 30 seconds longer than the previous runs. I did not feel any difference in the run. Today's run felt good - I think for me the criteria for a 'good' run is not only I feel psychically strong, but my 'inner critic' is either silent or fairly quiet.

Cool Down 5mins: medium pace

Reflection:
A hot one, but a run I truly enjoyed.

Day 6: ...we shall meet up on Monday.

After your post on FB, came on here to hunt down what you are up to! Count me as another follower-supporter!!!! Good for you for getting out there today. Glad you liked it.

We're going to try this new thing called jogging. Or maybe it's yogging-with a silent "j". Apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.

Thanks for all the support - it is not only very much appreciated but it also motivates me to stick with this C25K program.

Count me as a supporter too and count yourself (and a few others in this section) as an inspiration. If you can do it, so can I.

Day 6 has not happened yet. I am having trouble breathing. I am going to try tonight, but if I am not successful then I will try treadmill.

My running has become negotiable again, not good. I am going to change and hit the treadmill. I cannot let this happen again. I will not.

I ran on the treadmill today- I am not a TM fan.

Day 6: 5 min warm up: Walked at a quick (for me) pace.

Alternate 1.5min running with 2 mins walking for 20 mins: Went not too bad. I tired to run a little bit faster each interval. It may have only been .1 more each time but I did it.

Cool Down 5mins: medium pace

Reflection:
I am frustrated with myself. I let myself find excuses or magnify small reasons into excuses. With a treadmill in my building the main reasons I have for not running should not be an issue. I have indoor space to run when anxious, a bathroom when colitis is acting up, and can run inside when the outside air seems to want to clog up my lungs.

Run is done. I may do my next one tomorrow.

Day 7:....ready for me?

I used to try to run faster when I was starting over again. The result was that I did longer intervals than I should have at a faster pace than I should have. It was not pleasant, so I didn't want to run again the next day.

This time around, I put my ego aside and started at 1:1s. It felt relatively easy compared to past attempts at LTR. I was still sweating and out of breath, but I didn't feel like I was dying. And guess what? The love of running came back.

Maybe running faster is not a good idea for now. Just a thought.

Just checking in...and seeing that you're still goin with the plan. Awesome!

And yep...the heat and humidity has been fearful. I don't have respiratory problems and I'm find it tough out there...and this hot weather has made my tummy too

Day 7:

New routine

5 min warmup walk: Went well..it was more humid than I realized

Run for 90 seconds, walk for 90 seconds, run for 3 minutes and then walk for three minutes: -
repeat this twice: I really enjoyed this

5 min cool down: I was pretty sweaty at this point - way more humid than I realized.

Reflection:
Felt hot but good. I need to get my breathing under control - been awhile since I had exercise induced asthma. I am hoping it is due to allergies and humidity more than anything else. On a final note - bra held out well! Or should I say, held the girls IN well.

Day 8:

Much the same as yesterday - just not as humid

5 min warmup walk: Went well..

Run for 90 seconds, walk for 90 seconds, run for 3 minutes and then walk for three minutes: - repeat this twice: I mostly enjoyed this

5 min cool down: I was pretty sweaty at this point -
