Long time lurker....

Long time lurker....

Postby Liam01 » Fri Sep 21, 2012 1:08 pm

first time poster. Currently training for my second half (STWM). Have done some 5Ks and 10Ks. Been running for about 4 years now and while I'm not getting much faster, I am getting better at feeling like I am... :D
Started running to recover from a health problem and lose weight. Down 80 lbs now (yes, eighty) and got about 15 more to go. Like to read, travel and mountain bike as well. Looking forward to contributing.

Welcome!!

Congratulations on your weight loss :D
When your legs get tired, run with your heart.

Overcome the notion that you must be regular. It robs you of your chance to be extraordinary.

Thank you all very much. Purdy65 it would be nice to meet but based on your times, you'll have to wait around for me for about 20 mins.. ha Actually my goal is to run really hard for 20K and then dog it for the last KM and come in just before the marathon winner and bask in the reflected glory... kidding
