New jogger in Ottawa

For beginners, penguins, re-beginners, social types and the more low key runners for whom Boston is a tea party, not a race in the near future

New jogger in Ottawa

Postby RunningBear » Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:36 am

Just want to say hello,
I am a new runner (ok jogger) thanks to my 2 boys who asked me to quit smoking 5 months ago (pack a day for 30 years). I have been running for 4 months doing 5km at 29min 3 times a week. I did my first real race (color vibe) in 35 minutes (bumpy field run) and about to do my first half marathon (army run) in Sept :) Just want to thank all of the runners who gave me advice and tips up to now, thanks again.

Welcome and good luck with your training for the army half!
It's not the size of the dog in the fight...it's the size of the fight in the dog! 11K Marker post - 2010 ATB.
