If what really works? The Instant Pot, or pressure cookers in general?

I just bought an Instant Pot and tried it on three recipes this weekend: Basic beef pot roast (was OK), Moroccan Lamb (awesome!) and Steel cut oats (very good). They were all "recipes" from the book that came with it.

Latest thing. I put lentils, shredded carrots, not-chicken broth, salt, garlic powder, onion powder in for 25 min. Excellent! And it tastes good cold so you can eat on the go. Though, I add olive oil and rice for meals.

My dad saw something about them on tv the other day (I didn't realize it was a Canadian product!) and said there were so many safety mechanisms that it's almost fool proof. We'll see....

I just got done cutting up a banana squash and a turnip. Tomorrow, I'm going to make another bean stew. I actually have an onion which I will saute in the pot. I like that feature.

I just made pulled pork in <2 hours in the Instant Pot that would have taken me 8 hours in the slow cooker.
