Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

You fast momma's! :):)

I cannot convince myself to get out and run with the stroller. Like, ever. I go to classes 5 times a week (combo of spinning with either strength, core or kickboxing), but running has been non existent. Need motivation to just do it.

So, now that I am at the point where I am losing some weight and runnining isn't a painful exercise in foot destruction, I am signing up for a race. 10 km. in June. Sponsored by Starbucks, who at this point should seriously be the sponsor of this mat leave. So much coffee.

Off to make myself a (reasonable) training plan.

Sounds like you are doing great! But if getting back to running is a goal then signing up for a race should do it! I didn't run much iwth my stroller either. But I have a TM so the runs still happened but I didn't get nearly as much Xtraining in as you are doing. Great work!

Zack set a new stroller PB this morning: 18.75k! (pushed entirely by HCcD - I can't take any credit for that).

Impressive!

I'm thinking about trying a long run with C before I go back to work - just to say I did! Not 30km though - maybe 20. A woman on one blog I sometimes I read did 20 miles with her toddler!

I'm the one slow one around here.

I'm sure the classes will help you with getting back into running, and yay for the losing of weight! Good luck with the training... I was eyeing a 10k in June, but I'm nowhere near ready to start training. I've deferred my 10k goals until September.

Sending healing VB vibes to your VB!

Congrats Jes, Scrummy and OH MY GOSH, Rocky! You are doing great. Plus your posts are so funny! Keep posting. Still laughing at "gateway drug"!
Lightning :)

We're going to try this new thing called jogging. Or maybe it's yogging-with a silent "j". Apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.

Way to represent this weekend HRM! Jes, Jesse, Scrummy. Lightning and Hammie. Holy cow!

I did a progression run and I ran at each of your race paces. I didn't run for an even amount of time, but I did hit all of them and for each of you I thought of how far you ran. Well done ladies.

Holy moly, you guys are amazing! Atb has to be one of my favorite runs of all time! Way to go speedy ladies!

On a not so speedy note, did a 5km cranky run without the kid on Saturday in about 35 minutes. Can't wait for some of this weight to drop... Excited to start to see some gains in distance and speed! I did 14 km the other week with my mommy running group and felt like I had been dragged behind a bus after!
