Oh man. This is the first race I've done where I'm fully and deeply weather obsessed. I want it to be 1 degree and cloudy.

A little on the warm side, but I don't think TOO warm for bunny pace for me. Definitely utilizing the fuel belt though!

wow, you easterners are tough. That's way too cold.

Us silly west-coasters need to start a weather obsessing thread about an upcoming marathon on the same day...

I would be happy with 10C and cloudy, with just a very light breeze to cool us down.

I'm the odd ball here...+25 and sunny and I'd be in heaven. I'd even take a humidex. That would allow me to finish, head home have a beer and pop in the pool. This +1 stuff, your nuts!!!

That said I'm in Orlando the week before the race, get home Friday of race weekend. I'll get to heat adapt in that soup they call weather in Orlando in May.

Doing the 10km evening race this year, it's usually pretty humid. Not too worried about that, it's the wind that's bothering me. Yesterday's run was tough tough tough due to the crazy wind. :help:

Surprisingly, forecast appears to be holding true for race weekend .... with a low of 11C and high of 23-24C w/ 28C humidex, later on in the day ...

I suspect it's gonna be a realy hot and humid one on Saturday evening for the 5K / 10K events ... :help: :help: :help:  :?

Why ya asking me ?? :what: :help: :shifty:

Most of the winds that we have had the past two weeks or so, have been mostly from the West ...

According, to the forecast for the weekend, it will appear to be be South at 5kph / 10kph gusts .. and, on Sunday .. SW at 8kph / 18kph gusts ....

Think, on Saturday evening for the 5K and 10K events ... at 28C humidex ... you would actually want some wind ... Ha !!! :shifty:

Having said that, if you plan to run anymore this week, may be best to run in the late afternoon / evening, to get a bit acclimated to this hot/humid stuff, as the wind will be the last of your concerns, imo ...

Help! Any warmer and my pace bunny duties could be affected! Though I'm usually pretty good in heat. At least the race starts early.

This all sounds better than when I ran in Ottawa two years ago. Remember? The predicted highs that weekend were around 30!
