What to do with cauliflower snow

Postby bnn » Wed Apr 11, 2018 9:46 am

I bought a bag at costco... I don't have the rest of the ingredients for pizza for tonight but I need to use it up - anyone have a tried and true recipe? or if it's really only good for pizza crust do you have a good pizza crust recipe you've used and I'll grab the pizza ingredients on the way home?

What is it? Like powdered raw cauliflower? Or is it already cooked? What's the texture?

Seeing this too late. I really only use it as a rice substitute (e.g., with a curry). I’ve done cauliflower pizza crust and cauliflower oatmeal, but the rice substitute is the only one I’ve repeated. Oh, and I guess mashed, but I haven’t done that in a while!

Did I undercook mine ? I found it wasn’t soft like rice ?

Didn't see your reply in time to comment for dinner. I wasn't sure if "snow" meant that it was finer than cauliflower "rice." I don't think it's supposed to end up with the same soft texture as rice.

The only time I've used "riced" cauliflower it was to make Chinese-style fried rice. So, whatever you'd put in that (veggies, soy sauce, sesame oil). It's similar to what you made, but with Asian flavours instead of Tex-Mex.

Late to the party, but my daughter has made cauliflower Alfredo sauce. I just googled and a few recipes came up. I don't know which one she used, but it was good.

I've made this, too. It's very good.

Don't know why I bought the snow again, but it's sat in my fridge all week and needs to be eaten! lol I'm thinking grilled cheese sandwiches since I have a teenager with me this week who hates stirfry.
