Awesome event! Was sooo great to see the maniacs out in full force. BG1 Jr. (in the stroller) and I had a great race, only one pit stop to put the rain cover on, so a new stroller pb for sure. Mr. BG1 and I were saying last night how lucky we are to be part of such an amazing running community. Can'...

I'd definitely be interested.... very big fan of cake! Though, I'll be in England on May 31. So I would vote for June 14.

I am inspired. Surely if he can do all that awesome stuff, I can manage to drink from my water bottle and replace it without crashing

Who's doing Toronto Tri this weekend?

I just signed myself up yesterday... I'm hoping there will be a few other Maniacs around to play with

I hit 60K per hour on my new tri bike in aero at the sprint I did a couple weeks ago in Penetang. The best part was passing the 50K per hour sign. It was definitely the highlight of my race.

Yup, he's pretty cute... and totally loves wearing my goggles. He's always doing that around the house too. He's becoming a pretty good cheerleader.

BG1 survived Huronia Tri

It wasn't pretty, but I finished  I made a number of small errors going into this race. The two biggest ones were that I under estimated the sprint distance difficulty and number two over estimated my current physical condition. LOL! That said I re-learned a bunch of old lessons and it was stil...

Awesome report!

Okay, so I like to be able to set up my transition area without the helpful advice of Mr. BG1

Ha ha.

Iron Boy, you looked fantastic when I saw you. Good work. As for me, there's definitely some more training to be done. Ha ha.

Managed to get my butt out of bed for Masters swim this morning. Haven't had a great swim in two weeks now, I think it's because I'm constantly rushing to get in the pool, then to work. It's hard to focus when you're constantly checking the clock. Hoping things will calm down a bit when I start up a...

Hung over from pizza and ice cream last night I think... feeling really sluggish. That said, I've got plans to run/ride tonight. Mr. BG1 probably won't get home early enough for me to take off to RunPub, but I might just meet up with them for a drink after. Pre-race dreams are brutal huh? And nice t...

Did 1800m with the masters crew this morning in the pool, didn't feel as slick as usual. I think I need to revisit the TI DVDs!

I'm one of the lucky gals meeting up with La tonight for pizza, wine and ice cream. Sounds kind of like Christmas in June to me! Ha ha.

Good Morning all! Speedy 5k with the RR last night and a fast 1800m at the pool with my masters group this morning. It was a good workout with lots of 100s and 50s (my favourite). Managed to swim the 100s on a 1:50 pace and the 50s below :50, so was pretty consistent. I was leading my lane, so no dr...

When are you planning to swim next La? I'm still a little undecided about whether or not I'm going to sign up for the summer session of masters.

And IronColl you are too sweet.

Planning to head down to runpub tonight. Not sure if Mr. BG1 will be home to watch Jr., so I might just have to take the running stroller. Either way, looking forward to a 5 to 7Kish distance tonight.

Okay, so I didn't promote myself a lane today... but I have good reason. There were only three of us in my lane and like 10 people in the big lane next to mine. Instead I decided just to go really hard leading my lane today. I will make the jump eventually. It just didn't make sense today. Ultimatel...

Just discovered this thread. My head is literally spinning from IronGirl's calculations. I'm an english major. I'll think about giving it a try tomorrow morning. Ack! At the very least I'll ask the coach what the pace time is there. After my swim with La the other night, I realized that I'm not push...

I wish I was going to Aruba. That looks amazing!

No official workouts planned today, just my usual bike commute, which I think equates to about 17K or so.

Great run yesterday with Mr. Bond and Jo-Jo. I've been feeling pretty strong lately all around. It has to be those spin classes. They ROCK!

Awesome 2100m swim with La yesterday. We are FISH! Smokin' times all around, but she's the stats girl, so I'm sure she's got the splits.

Spin class scheduled for the lunch hour. Can't wait.
