Re: what do you guys think about...
I've got information overload. There's FB, Strava, TrainingPeaks, my tri club, and..... I only check RM once every few months these days. I know I said I'd get into blogging and contribute some of my blog posts. But my writing ability doesn't allow anything comprehensible to come out very frequently...

Re: Cyclists boycotting these brands...
Note that the MEC letter did not mention the NRA once. MEC is responding on behalf of its membership and shareholders, not making a direct political statement. Its membership are the shareholders, whom they didn't directly consult. And they make direct political statements all the time. I get the i...

So I need to figure out how we're going to do the blogs!
I'd consider that a low priority task.

Re: Cool or Not Cool?
If finisher's medals have no meaning, then why do they hand them out?
Answer: They're a sign of accomplishment. No runnie, no meddie.
As for impeding flow before the finish line so that other runners cannot pass... that's a no-brained.

Back on topic... I stopped posting because I didn't have anything left to post about. That led me to eventually stop lurking.
I come back every now and then to see if anything earth-shattering has happened.

It could be the gels. I thought gels used maltodextrin and not glucose. Try switching brands to Hammer or Gu and see if that has an effect.
*bias alert*: I've been known to eat over 80 gels in a race.

Well done!
Heat does weird things to the inside of our bodies. It was smart running through every hose, as external cooling is just as important as internal cooling. Odds are, the GI distress you had was related to the heat.

It's second-hand, a few years old. I'll try and scrounge some photos up. It's one of those weird half-aluminum/half-carbon frames.
