Re: Still shining Saturday
Well, it'll still be there next week! Total long run fail this morning- from the start my stomach was bugging me. I just did a half hour, and I'll run again tomorrow instead of taking a rest day. It's days like this that I'm glad I'm not training for something imminent and I can just say "screw...

Re: Still shining Saturday
I'm about to head out for 18-20km in the gorgeous sunshine! I'm heading up to the conservation area again, which I love. Perfect "Lisa trails"- wooded and shady with very few (if ANY) technical areas. :) I will take another look in at my future best friends on the way up... Jonovision Man,...

Re: Freedom Trail Thursday
Great workout tonight at the track. I decided that I want to relearn what 5K race pace feels like, as lately I've just felt so out of touch with racing and with how I used to feel at various distances. I didn't really know what pace to shoot for, so I estimated 4:20/km and decided to do 4 x 1km. I d...

I had a great long run this morning. A bit over 18km up to and around the conservation area, which is full of my kind of trails! Mostly dirt paths, in other words. It's a stunningly beautiful day here!

Whoa! Good for you Jesse!! That's amazing. When did you start back at it?
No run for me today but I have had a great week of runs, and I'm doing my long run tomorrow. Feeling stronger all the time.

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...
So happy to see this!! Yes stroller running is awesome. It's my go-to for when he's fussy- usually he quiets right down. I did a long run this morning- a teeny bit more than half marathon distance. I found that where I used to be able to run long without water/food, since it's been warm-ish I really...

17km done in the beautiful sunshine today! I definitely need to start bringing water on my runs, though. The last 5k or so were a bit bonkalicious. The rest of the day was spent chilling in my garden and on my deck with beers in hand. Happy weekend!!

Great runs everyone!!! ESP Jesse... You're soooo close!!
I hit 20 km this morning for the first time since 2012!!! It felt good- lots of chatting. We did it in 1:49 which shocked me, but there were quite a few breathers at lights etc.

Yes that's excellent Lisa! Definitely well worth a sub 1:50 on a less insanely windy day. Congrats!

It was so lovely to see Andy, Lisa and her DH again and to meet Robin and Amelia. Thanks for suggesting it to me Andy!! Nathaniel loved meeting more runners too. :D I got a smiley pic... I think Andy's are more "grumpy Prince George" esque, lol. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/04/7ypese3a....

Wow Rick, that sounds incredible. Congrats on a great race! I did 16km with JB and our other friend, through the Don Valley and up into Sunnybrook Park. I am feeling stronger every week! It was not as easy an effort for me as it was for JB who ran a marathon faster last Monday, lol, but I was thrill...

Re: Starting Saturday
I ran about 7km to my parents' house with N in the stroller. It was supposed to be an easy run but it wasn't... it was hilly! Haha. I figured I'd stop at about 38 minutes (conveniently, at the bottom of a big hill) and walk the rest of the way to buy myself some more "seepies", but the SEC...

I am a possibility with my little man, just to say hi... Was chatting with Andy today. I like that he wants to eat so early as N turns into a gremlin at 7, haha.
