OK, so who's running or will be there cheering? I know we have some elite athletes coming in from places like Kingston (right, Joanne?).
My wife will be running and I will be cheering. I won't have my RM shirt yet but I will be wearing my Orange Sugoi hat (as in avatar).

My foot was better today, I could even walk on it. Cycled for an hour around the area. I didn't put on my cycling shorts though and I was a little sore in the wrong places afterwards. We won 7-2 last night even though we had one guy sent off at the end of the first half. It's tough to watch from the...

This year was 65 teams maximum and it was not full. One reason is the direct conflict with NCM has taken away so many runners and teams. And probably with the Bluenoser the following weekend. It has been full in the past with some unhappy teams not getting in. We have never had a problem, being an O...

Good article...puts together a bunch of all the "newer" ideas that have been written about. The only problems for an old fart are the added stresses on the body from plyometrics, increased speedwork and downhill running. I'm having enough problem dragging this bod through the training as it is!!! I ...

I will be back next year. We are looking at putting in a team from Ottawa. It looks like this will be mostly different folks from those on the team this year. We ended up this year with 12 from Ottawa and 5 from Halifax due to the NCM conflict. One of the other Ottawa teams was in the same boat and ...

This is the page that shows the different Axis Gear styles mentioned in the price list above:
http://www.axisgear.ca/custom.asp
Are the men's singlets really sleeveless T's (like the women's Fluid tank) or real racing singlets?

The toughest part can be the loose stones. They can be a problem on the sharp downhill turns at the bottom by the gate and again at the left hand turn towards the Navy base. Also on the whole of the "up" hill. In the past they have graded the course beforehand which only made the stones looser and h...

I have to admit...20 years ago everyone said hi as they ran past. Now, people seem more focussed on their own thing or have their Walkmans (Walkmen?) cranked up. Nowadays I look at the other person and if they look back I say hi or give the official runner's nod. I remember one woman who has been ru...

No run today...again. My foot is still recovering from the soccer game on Monday that I should not have played. Looks like a few days off is in store to work on strengthening the old tendon (post tib) before I can take it out for a run. We'll see what the physio sayson Friday. Now where did I store ...
