My two best running friends have started the vortex and now it looks like I will be coming out for the race weekend. Here are my questions: marathon course is it hilly, rolling, or pretty flat? weather??? hotels I like to be as close to the race start as possible. After two marathons and an Ironman ...

Up at 5:30 to take DD to swim club. Bonus was I got my run done by 8:30. Ran the lakes with one of the dads from swim club. He was kind enough to run slow for me.

Kettlebells and Masters swimming. Still no running for me.

Great job on such a hot day. My boss raced but unfortunately she DNF, she was pulled off course with heat stroke and spent the night in the med tent. She was gutted. This was her fourth full.

I use my Road ID all the time and that was what I got my dad for Christmas last year.

I have been riding with my hubby over the last couple weeks and I pull for the first 1/2 and he pulls for the second and lets just say it is way easier on the way back and faster riding off his wheel. I was averaging over 30km on Saturday.

I am so proud of you. You are one hell of a rider!!!

Sitting at my desk watching people workout. I will run later with the kiddies as they ride their bikes. Hopefully at least 5km but I will let them decide the distance. There will be slurpees and a lake swim after.

Well my first Ironman is just around the corner and I would love any words of encouragement or advice anyone wants to give. For example ideas for special needs bags etc... Post away.

I bought it at the NYC race expo. I will call Garmin this afternoon, I really want/need the elevation data.

I am finding so many bugs with my Garmin 910 these days. I really am not happy. I always seem to have corrupt files and now the elevation will not work. I just bought it in the fall and now I am wishing I waited and bought the 920. And why are the corrupt files always the ones I want to see the most...

I have a 75 min ride to do and then moving one of Wednesdays workouts to this evening so I will be swimming 1500m open water.
