Re: Marine Corps Marathon
MCM is posting that active.com caught the duplicates during registration, noted them, and sold the duplicates. So even if you ended up registered 2 or more times and were billed 2 or more times you will eventually be refunded over the coming days, and are actually registered only once. You duplicates...

Re: Marine Corps Marathon
On the MCM facebook page. People were billed 2 or more times and were receiving 2 or more confirmation emails as time went on. One person did post that active.com said they would cancel out the duplicates. That leaves two questions though. How many duplicate entries are there and what will they do w...

Re: Marine Corps Marathon
MCM registration sold out as of 2:27 pm. Thank you runners for your enthusiasm for the MCM and, just as important, for your patience today. I watched it on FB. it was a total mess. People tried over and over and did not get in. If they got in there was a message that registration was on hold which c...

Re: Altra Shoes? Or others with wide toe box?
I have worn 4A heels all my life but my toes are B average or wider (wearing VFF's made them wider then they use to be!) . Altra makes a women's specific shoe that has a narrow heel to go with the wider toe box. Been wearing mine all day.

Re: Torch Relay -- Ottawa Marathon
In the end it is being done by a draw of entries. I kind of like that versus the ever popular popularity votes on FB (most votes wins). So I figure I can tripod my slr and take a photo. If it isn't over the top wonderful it won't matter! We have until April 30th to enter. Maybe I should bring 'the t...

Re: A (Sun)Day at the Races
Wishing everyone racing a great run! My cold is slowly improving and I actually got a good nights sleep I still sound more like a bullfrog then a runner though but then again I'm not gonna be running today anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Re: Sunny Saturday?
Safe travels to everyone on the road to hamilton! Locally we have 'around the rae' which is just a fun run around the rae road (known for its big hill and many littler hills). The cold that threatened me last weekend took hold like no cold I've had for years. Ended up at the doctors yesterday on ant...

Green Sunday
No green grass but Happy St. Patty's everyone! I wish you all some Irish luck and a great day of running! It is another rest day for me. My shoulder continues to be a problem. I injured it (bicep tendon tear and possibly more) back in December in the big snowstorm and it was doing well however repea...

Re: Altra Shoes? Or others with wide toe box?
I currently do most of my running in VFF's but started in brooks adrenalines. I have transitioned from them (with orthotics) to the VFF (long story, I'll skip it here other then to say long slow transition). I have tried pretty much every zero drop and minimal drop 'unitoe' going - you name it I've ...

I know the marathon had posted they were having trouble with refunds so I'm not going to push it ... for now ... but if I don't hear in another week or two I'll contact them. I made sure I kept proof that I requested the refund though!

Re: NY Marathon cancelled
We finally got our resolution offer late last night. I actually contacted NYRR to find out why ITP's were so late and found out ITP's were late but had heard last week. Mine maintained they heard nothing. NYRR contacted me back yesterday morning to see if my ITP had contacted me with a resolution - ...

Re: NY Marathon cancelled
My refund was an insurance claim. ITP has not been much help. We did get an email the day of the resolution posting but all it said was NYRR gave them no additional info. I will be interested to see if I can access my runner's profile and choose an option From there I really don't know. Part of me t...

Got up to run but didn't feel like it so took the dogs for a nice long walk instead. Spending most of my day at the hospital as my aunt (age 87) is having hip replacement surgery. I am working from the hospital today  but here to support her through this. So the dogs needed a good walk before ...

Re: NY Marathon cancelled
I have direct access and kept the codes so I am thinking I will have the ability to choose. However my online profile clearly states ITP so I'm not sure. The medical waiver applied for my insurance claim but doesn't do anything towards guaranteed entry in the future ... if I want to go or not. I tho...

Re: NY Marathon cancelled
NYRR has still not contacted ITP's with how the resolution will work so I don't know if I will get an email letting me choose my options, be offered options through the ITP, or just be told what to do  One of the ITP people from the UK has been told the options are the same and if they decide ...

Re: NY Marathon cancelled
The ITP told us today that they have had no information from NYRR other then what was on the website. They have no refunds, guarantees of refunds, or guaranteed entries for next year so as far as they are concerned nothing has changed with todays news. They are still waiting for information. NYRR di...
