I'm gang to ignore the weather network's forecast at present. Race day they say will have xxxx. I'll just patiently wait for that to change.

Good work, Anners. More motivation...DO NOT let this happen to you. I had the make the sad decision today while wearing too-tight running capris: Pull up the pants high to cover the loose, floppy gut but risk ECT (extreme camel toe) OR keep them low to avoid ECT then risk the world seeing my floppy...

Re: BMO Vancouver Marathon thread

One of my biggest fears for Vancouver is cold constant rain..... I just don't think I could handle it..... But then I try to remind myself I once ran an ultra with pouring rain, snow and mud beyond belief. I finished but never wore those shoes again..... So it couldn't be as bad as that could it? :s...

24 homemade egg mcmuffins made and in the freezer. They will be a nice quick breakfast. Tomorrow I'm going to make mini chicken pot pies in muffin tins that someone posted about in the NET. How did you cook the eggs? Is there a recipe posted somewhere? Not really. I just scramble them. The biggest ...

Re: BMO Vancouver Marathon thread

And again, it might just be me, but if you are listing transit info don't you want to say "get off at xxxx stop for the start line if you are taking the xxx line"? With 10 000 racers I'm assuming many are not local.

Re: BMO Vancouver Marathon thread

So Vancouver people:

I looked at the map of the finish line and to me, it looks like the race just ends in the middle of a street. No park, no real space that I can see. Am I mistaken? What am I missing? Obviously the map doesn't show me everything but maybe local eyes can help.

My partner herniated his disc as well. It has proven to be a very difficult injury for him. Walking with speed is where he has mostly ended up to be honest. I'll be interested to hear how you make out. (his recovery was much slower than yours)

Re: BMO Vancouver Marathon thread

Well everyone signs up with their email address so they would get the same notice as you, right? I'm guessing this only applies to the small fraction of runners who expect to finish under 3:00? It will be interesting to see how everything shakes out with the new course and issues like these. I have...

I did the enchiladas from budget bytes. Sweet and sour - anyone you like. It freezes well! Also make in slow cooker, it's good there too!

21 miles. Definition of headwind: not being able to tell you are running downhill! Slightly short on fuel, which the irony was not lost on me as I spent more than $100 on gels at MEC yesterday. The problem was, I intended to run about 2 hrs outside and then finish on the TM (because I figured it wou...
