May might see me doing the Vancouver Marathon as a final prep for June's kick at Kettle Moraine 100 miler again. Perhaps a 50k (Trail Mix in Minneapolis) in April too. July to October will be busy being a race director again - tentative dates coming later this week :-) although I might try to sneak ...

Isn't it usually around the middle of February?? The 25th in 2007 and I think Sunday the 24th this past Feb???
I remember it always being the last weekend of February, this year being 22 Feb according to the RR e-mail I received the other day.

I had to share this photo that was sent to me today -- it really sums up the way I was feeling that morning -- the grin didn't go away for hours! Notice Mouse on the far right all bundled up to spend three hours waiting at the finish line tearing off tags from the finishers. http://trailrunmanitoba....

The other side of the finish line
Or, my year as a race director. This tale began last year, about mid September when I started checking into the legal side of getting permits, insurance and all those other trappings that would be the instant show stoppers for putting on a race. As the ideas swam in my head, and I tossed ideas out t...

There are only two sections with mud, each about 300m long and the forecasted lack of additional serious rain this week, it shouldn't be too bad. Think of the character you'll be building! Dwayne 300 meters long? Two of them? That's alot of tippy toeing around and hanging onto trees for dear life. ...
