Re: Do your race times mean a lot to you?

times used to be important when i was running races and trying to hit time goals. When i realized a couple years ago i wasn't going to get any faster times were not important anymore. now i run to get out and enjoy it.

Re: Some GTA racing news!

I am glad the 10 miler is back. The course has some nice views and is flat which is a bonus. meh. some of the views of the shoreline/skyline are ok. but for the most part the scenery is not anything to write home about. With the start/finish being at Cherry Beach (rather than the Distillery), it wi...

6/10 for the obvious back door brag. Someone that qualifies for Boston - at Boston - knows the answer to your question already. jealous, Mark? i can see why Mark would make that comment. Someone who can run a 3:07 marathon likely knows how to prepare and what distances and paces that would entail. ...

Re: Sports Drinks - useless or worse? (TV alert: Marketplace

gatorade only after a longish run (+16k) in hot, humid, sunny weather. other than that just water.

i also like the guys who sit in a meeting drinking gatorade. usually they are out of shape as well.

Runners Knee - How Did Recover?

Seems I have developed runners knee over the past month. Just wondering how you guys were able to recover? What helped? Anyone able to keep running while treating this or is total rest the only way? Not quite sure what to do I ran an easy 6k for the first time in over a week. I could feel the tightn...
