Re: Salads

I make Asian cole slaw by buying a bag of sheredded cabbage and shredded carrots and/or broccoli. Then I make a dressing using soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, honey, ginger, and whatever other Asian spices you like (not sure if you can use sesame oil, which is one of my fave seasonings). I'll also ad...

Re: Salads

I love potato salad but I hate mayo so I use plain yogurt instead (you pick the amount of fat you want). For more flavour I will put in radishes, dill pickle, carrots and whatever spices I feel like. You can add boiled egg for some extra protein and I've even put in roasted chicken if there is some...

Re: Make ahead No-cook cold oatmeal!

I'm addicted to this at present.... I make mine a little differently. I always add a scoop of protein powder to the mix because it makes the meal last and you can't taste it! I need to try this. So far I've just made it according to the recipes, but I think a protein boost would be a good thing! It...

Salads

I need to shake things up for my lunch. I usually always take cold food to eat because lunch sometimes is done standing. The last few days I took a salad with some leftover cooked chicken. It was pretty good. I know some of you love to have salads at lunch. What do you usually out in yours? I don't ...

It's going to be awesomes!!! C you are ready. Go embrace all that texas has to offer. You swam in a pool, rode on a trainer and ran on a TM more more time/distance than I can imagine all winter long. Now is the time to put all of that training out on the roads of Texas. We will be cheering loud from...

Because you are focused on the 50k and the marathon didn't matter - even if you came up with an ad hoc plan to BQ - it still didn't matter. This! Wow I'm about to agree with Mark..... Write this down folks. I have run my share of ultras and I've run a few marathons. To me, they are quite different....

Re: Bear on the loose in Kanata!

No matter how aggressive they are, geese are still a lot smaller than you and they can't kill you. I think you'll be ok. :) I realize there are a lot more of them around though so they seem more evil. Black bears are normally not aggressive, but you don't want to come between a mom and her cub(s). ...

I just think if it was asthma, the puffer would've done something. Plus I've never had asthma, and it only started last month (allergy season). I've never had the typical winter asthma either. Hopefully the aerius kicks in by tomorrow. I'll probably also take an Advil sinus or two to clear out my s...
