Oh gosh...getting up for work tomorrow is going to kill me :!: I had to force myself to crawl out of bed this morning and it was already 7.45. Usually I get up at 6.15 for work :!:

Not sure if I'll run today. I got 6k in yesterday which surprized me b/c of the weather so if I take a rest day today that will be ok.

ds and gf leave today

Happy Sunday everyone :!:

It took me forever to fall asleep after the WJC game, I was so pumped.

Slow morning and I think I'll do my long run later in the morning versus right away.
Putting the last of the Christmas decor away too.

5K on the treadmill will be squeezed today at some point. I should go to the spin class but I'm letting my DH sleep in today.
I got my new TV delivered yesterday so I'm itching to get it set up. HD here we come (just in time for the World Jr. Hockey game). LOL :D

Oh yeah! I'm very excited for my DH because his curling team won yesterday and are now going to the Ontario Provincial Curling Championships next month. W00T H00T!!

Heading out to the trail now for a run of undetermined length and time. Then have to see two clients, study between appointments, then errands, then home to do laundry (so I can pack too). It's going to be very very busy today... :?

Taking a walk later today with Hubby, Hudson and my new boyfriend "BOB" :D We may get some crazy looks from neighbours (BOB and no baby), but since Hudson is afraid of BOB when he moves, we are going to try to get them used to each other.

had a great workout yesterday with Mark and Dave. I made up the spin workout using past workouts - it went something like:
10min warmup
10min single legs
5min easy
5min z3
30min of 2min easy then 3-4min stand/sit/high resistence/hard
3x4min easy hill, 2min hard hill, 4min high cad easy come down the 'hill'
5min easy
10min of 30s high rpm/30s recovery
3min easy

then we did a circuit using the 2 treadmills:
2min run hill at 7% grade
2min run speed - 2% grade
2min core
we went through each station 3 times - so 18min total

then back on the bike for 15min flush

Today's plan - hour swim planned, some strength probably

then a 12k run from home - it's supposed to be quite decent today weather wise....
Race Hard. Race Happy.

Just out of the shower after my long run - 13 k in 1:12:50 according to Carmin the Garmin. Ugly sidewalk conditions here still - they were cleared but generally speaking there is between three and five cms of snow/slush on them. It made for a real calf burn.

Kevin, if that's your "easy run on bad roads" pace (5:30/km) then your 10K time trial from last week (5:15 or something) is way slower than a true race pace.

Oh- my turn. I might do an easy run later before the rains hit.

Good Morning.

Just in from my 21K LSD.

Conditions, weatherwise were fantastic, but some of the sidewalks were still pretty iffy, so it made for a harder run in parts. I just keep telling myself how much faster I'll be on dry pavement!

I took a bit of new route today, and an area I'm somewhat but not totally familiar with. I was cruising along nicely, and then looking ahead I saw .... the.biggest.hill.I.have.ever.run! OMG. I looked up and said to myself, well you are training for ATB! Don't be afraid of the hills. I sucked it up, but boy was it a doozy!

Have a good one!

Beautiful morning for an LSD in Ottawa, bright and sunny and not too windy.

Just finished a 23K LSD with Louise, even Corkstown hill didn't feel too tough today. 8)

I'd just like to say that I am SICK and TIRED of this STUPID wind!!! Grrrrr. Sackville is the windiest place on earth. I am so frustrated. I really wanted to take the kids out again for another ski but the winds are 60 kph and that's just too hard for my littlest ones. Plus, the wind keeps us up all night blowing on the windows and rattling the pictures on the wall. Seriously. This is stupid even for Sackville. It's been 2 weeks straight pretty much.

Sigh. I feel better now that I have that off my chest.

I might run on the TM today or I might take a rest day. We'll see.
