Tingling Tuesday

Postby Mouse » Tue Jan 27, 2009 2:10 am

Yep my body is tingling in anticipation of the 5X 600 meter intervals that I will be doing at the super dry Max Bell Center Indoor track. I hope they go better than last week.
I'm having trouble sleeping for some strange, weird reason. I feel super tired, tried a warm/hot bath(didn't work). Tried reading(didn't work). Tried the computer (hasn't worked yet). I'm going to just lay there and hope for the best, after all I need my rest to get that workout done.....

I really really did want to get up early and run, but I was just way too comfy in bed. One of the curses of the home treadmill is that I can put off the morning run knowing I can come home and do it in the evening...... wouldn't do that with the gym because I don't like going there after work....

Oh well, 45 minutes on the treadmill when I get home. Might try the hill program.
The rumours are true......

Me too - couldn't get to sleep last night. Is it a full moon - seriously, that affects my sleep sometimes. But I don't think it is.
Planning on a run at lunch today - unless I decide to take a nap instead

Have a good day everyone :!:

I've got a run too! 25 minutes with my new orthotics! They felt heavenly yesterday! Basically, they have the same posting, but are made thinner, so that they'll flex a wee bit, plus they have extra cushioning. The old ones were like boards... I'm getting the old ones recovered and extra cushioning added to them so that I can use them in my bike shoes.

Have a great day! :D

45 minutes on the TM after work tonight. Yesterday's workout didn't happen, but it was an impromptu workout anyways. :D
Next?

Dani, I'm sending vibes to Aaron for his career mangler interview!

We should find out in a couple weeks if Scotty gets his transfer to Public Affairs (the selection board sits this week or next)

I'm meeting with my trainer at the Y this morning. Program set up today. I'm hoping she's tough like Jillian Michaels and lovable like Bob Harper.

Swim tonight.

Swim tonight as well.

Though I may be tired from all the spinning at work... :?

You're not the one spinning, everyone else is... Just don't get too dizzy from watching them, as entertaining as it might be.

An evening of ice and sleet which is continuing throughout today which means we all have a snow day today.

Roads look pretty nasty so I will probably pass on the run today

Good Morning!

10K tempo on the treadmill this morning. Felt really good. A slight improvement over last week! Now when it gets better outdoors, it will be nice to see of these faster tempos are doing anything for me!

Big celebration after making my way through Boot Camp last night. Different instructor, man, she was tough! (but a good tough!) I was real impressed with how well I did considering my level of energy after being sick; it was a great workout (and a great sweat!). Rest day today. Too much else on the plate to even think about a workout!

Bad news is that looks like dd may have strep throat.... in the midst of exams. NOT a good thing. Heading to the dr for some prescription relief. Poor kid, she's feeling pretty rough.

Ran on the treadmill at the gym. Working on my tempo run - did a 10 minute warmup, 15 minutes at my tempo pace, and a 5 minute cooldown. I'm working towards increasing my tempo run time over the next few weeks, and testing my ankle at the same time.

All is good so far!

2300m swim with masters this morning. Managed to get a lift downtown with my lane-mates, so I didn't have to make the run with my heavy backpack. I have my stuff though, so I'll get out for a bit of a run at lunch or at the end of the day.

Dani - Sorry to hear things didn't work out as you'd hoped. (((hugs)))

Short wake up run on the TM this morning - wish there was something better on at 6AM - then I might go longer. Looking forward to a XC ski in the Gatineaus tonight :D
