Still coughing and hacking up a bit of flam, and will see if I can get in a run later on today, if the energy is there ....

Good day, everyone ... Gonna be a couple of short weeks with Good Friday coming and Easter Monday next week :P

Duke's not playing so who cares. And even worse, the Tar Holes are playing. No thanks...

Anyways, this morning was a sleety windy 12k with striders. Felt pretty good overall.

Enjoy the new week.

Ugh. I'm sick. I thought I was getting better since I only had a headache and aches and fever yesterday, but it came back full force this morning. Back to a liquid diet for me.

So, no activity for me.

In the past week I managed 3 runs and a commute to work on my bike.
Not bad, considering.

Off to walk R to the sitter's house then run home (sans stroller), then bike to work. A little concerned about only having an hour to do it all but wheat the hell, we'll give it a whirl.
I used to run. All the time.
Now? Notsomuch.
I'm still a runner, though.
Life is fluid and ever changing. I am too.

I was supposed to do my 7k yesterday, got 2.5k in and got sick.............soooooo, I'm gonna give it a try today.

I have the day off today and just a dentist appointment so I have plenty of time to get that run in, and maybe some housework.

I'm a bundle of nerves.

I found an apartment yesterday, and planned to call yesterday evening to set up an appointment for this evening, to have a last visit and submit the application but I got all overwhelmed by a desire to not move and love/nostalgia for my current place (where I've been for TEN years!!) and I didn't do it. I will call from the office this morning -- so I can't look around at my place. :) And hope that it's not gone!!

It helps that I'm listening to drilling right now as I type this! I will move! I want to move. Moving will be good.

Besides that huge thing... I'm expected to do a 30 min. workout today 10 min w/u & c/d with 10 mins of 30secs hard/30secs easy in between. (Or something like that. I have to check.)

Back in the office after a fabulous week in Italy. Yes I LOVE Italy!! :D
A lovely surprise was waiting for me when I got home - my new RM sweatshirt  Thanks Marg and team :!: It's super and fits perfectly. I'm wearing it as I type :D

My running schedule went all to pot of course while I was away and I was sick before I left so will spend this week trying trying to get back on track. Not today though  work, mother to appointment, home, dinner, and probably to bed very early.

My db and sil are coming for Easter from Scotland :D :D Yeah :D but cwap  I have so much to do

Get well sick Maniacs :D
Happy Maniac Monday everyone else :D

Did 122 pushups and a couple rounds of the weight machines at the gym this morning. Very, very, very tired today...couldn't get to sleep last night.

Need some of this:

Easy cross training today, including a little cycling and the usual weights, abs and IT band work. Stupid knee feels fine this morning and I hope that's still true when I try running tomorrow. First up this morning is trying to get an acupuncture appointment for this week to help clear up any lingering inflammation. Not sure why it works so well but it's amazing.

Have a great day, and let's hope this bad Ontario weather is the last of winter. Overall, this has been the freakiest winter since I moved here in 1997 and I sure hope it's not a forecast of a freaky spring to come.

Sore, sore, sore today!!! Wow! I need to keep going to yoga OR pilates, not both, and not both on the same day! Lesson learned... Today: A run this afternoon, not sure length or time, but a run, nonetheless. Class tonight, then basketball!!! People here are CRAZY UNC fans, so I'll just stay out of their way and in my house! I'm torn on who to root for--DH and I were both Big 10 undergrad, but he works for UNC. What a dilemma!!! Eh, my Big 10 loyalties will probably win out, just not publicly around here!

Andy, feel better!!!

Was planning to bike to work this morning but when I was cleaning my bike last night it appears that I must have bent the rear derailleur (either during the race or transporting it home..). So, I opted for the rest day instead.

Have a great day everyone!

15K LSD done yesterday in the wind. My legs are feeling stiff and tired this morning and my ITB is acting up a bit but other than that I feel fine :)

One LSD left to do before the Half-Marathon.
Those LSD are beginning to be serious mileage. If you'd asked me 6 months ago to run 15K straight, I would have said no way!

21.1K next week will be a major milestone 8)

Have a great day everyone!

I'll be watching and cheering for the the Tar Heels tonight - if I can stay up late enough, that is! I'm pretty sure I've got the win in our (two person) March Madness pool locked - DH will never hear the end of it!

This morning was a tempo run - first of those in a while, and I was very happy to see I was running much quicker than I was in the fall. It's always nice to see the effects of training. 8.5km done.

But of course! Glad you had a good time. Did you hear about the earthquake this morning though??

Today is a rest day for me. While I'm glad for two short weeks, they're only short from one job... still working the other, which means I still only get one day off.

Something quick between conference calls at lunch today. Probably 7-8k by the river.
