Rabbits Rabbits Rabbits.

Suppose to be 10km this morning, but I was too slow so just squeaked out 9.1. Another 5km in my FF's after work will make it up. Hips and core at lunch.

Chilly is right - it is freezing in my office. I have two sweaters on. Feels like the AC has been cranked all weekend. Where is maintenance?

Will go for a run after work today to make up for the run I missed yesterday. My knee is still bugging me a bit. :(

First day of June and I have to wear long sleeves?!?!

Anyways, my workout kept me warm 4 x 200, 2 x 400, 1 x 800, 2 x 400, 4 x 200, all with equal distance recovery.

Legs felt a bit dead to start, but after the first couple 200s, I managed to hit target pace for everything but the 800. That was supposed to be done in 2:30. I went through 400 on pace but lost 4 seconds on the second lap.

Something to work on I guess.

Have a great week everyone.
2009 Highlights
Marathon - 2:54:05 (Mar 22 - Tokyo)
Half - 1:20:00 (Apr 26 - Hartwell)

800m - 2:16.80 (York U - Jul 28 )

Why practice running slow? It comes naturally!

Legs feel heavy after a big weekend. Easy 90 minute ride scheduled for this evening, that'll loosen up my legs, no worries!

Since I rested yesterday (ie lots of family stuff to do) I plan on getting 7.5km in today (once around the block) but it'll have to wait until after work.

I feel really good for have run my LSD on Saturday - guess I'm getting in better shape!

And it's actually warmer here than it was yesterday, or maybe just less wind ... crazy weather!

Dani--My thoughts are with you. Let's hope for the best.

I caught a laryngitis (hope the spelling is right!). I am pretty much voiceless today. I did my strength and core exercises when I got up. That will probably be my workout for the day.
I run because it's fun.

I may have been tired from 8 hours of backyard shed building yesterday.

"rest" day.

Today I have a million errands to do, and this afternoon an appointment with a recruiter. And supposedly the moving truck actually made its way from Edmonton to Vancouver over the weekend, so I will be harassing them to come deliver ASAP.

Yeah..that's what I was thinking when the alarm went off. These weeks lately have been way too stressful.

Dani - Thinking about you and looking forward to that party announcement.

Today's the start of my new self-challenge - 30 hours of activity in the month of June. 20 hours must be either bike or run. Need something to keep me going now that I've started back at it, especially since I tend to slack off during the summer (warm) months.

Today is a swim day, and I hope to also add in a core workout this evening. If I can get all the laundry folded at a decent hour.

Discovered this morning that my parking lot is sold out of spots for the month... why did I leave it to the last minute? This usually isn't a problem but our onsite parking lot had its gate repaired so the lot is no longer "free". I was thinking about commuting and if the other local site is full, I will be commuting by bike or bus (not crazy about this) starting tomorrow!

I have some errands after work and then would love to run some hills but I will likely head home, get my bike ready. I should go for a spin to see how long it will take me to ride to work.

And I will have to go to bed earlier!

Oh, and today is the start of my training plan for Run for the Toad!! YES, I will be trained for this one if it kills me. Today is a rest day. :) I may switch up the days and will add my commute as cross training since it will be approx. 30 km/day.

Back to work.....

Legs are feeling a bit tight after yesterday's LSD. Went to the gym at lunch and did the circuit and some core work and they're feeling better for it.
First day of June already! Sheesh

ugh - picked the wrong 6:00 boot camp class today - should have gone this morning. it's a hot one today and we are inundated with smoke from a forest fire. maybe a swim instead.

thinking of you Dani - that contrast feeling is bizarre on a CT. glad they warn ahead of time.

how did it get to be June already?
