Want to run on over here and do 3 miles with my guy now?
I am getting some serious guilting right now. I have been outside with Huds, playing fetch for 15 minutes. However, as soon as we got inside did his pre-walk/run routine (which involves running up and down the hallway in excitement squeaking a toy). Much to his displeasure, a walk did not follow, since I am alone with the dog and baby this morning.

It's still too chilly for a June morning - long sleeves again
Anyways, 10k easy - choppy to start, and then pretty smooth after that. It must have been easy too, I don't remember seeing an average HR that low for a run in quite some time.
Skipped form drills for lack of time this morning. Best not make that a regular habit.
Off to hand therapy shortly, and have kid #2's soccer game tonight.

Why practice running slow? It comes naturally!

I'll run home from work tonight, definitely easy pace as my legs will not be fresh! I had a really, really hard run last night, but it was good. We did about a 4km or so warmup, then 3 x 2km intervals and cooldown. All in all it ended up being 15km! I haven't done intervals in ages so I wasn't really sure what pace to try for, so I just did them by effort. I ended up being slower each time... not great but not too terrible. They were about 4:10 average/4:15 average/4:30 average. The last one was pretty slow I guess. Oh well. I think next time I'd aim for about 4:15. No idea how I pulled a 4:17 average pace 10K off a month ago! LOL.
I am SO glad tomorrow's Friday!!

A fairly crappy 4K done. Was supposed to be an 8K tempo...

No running today - I am off to the doctor for my blood work then I am golfing. I am also golfing tomorrow at 9 am so it is doubtful I will get in any running. I am hoping this will count as some cross training.

I took the scenic route for my run last night: just plugged in the tunes and ran a nice little 6.87K loop in 41:15 (6:00/km pace).
I will swim after work this evening, then drop off my bike at my friend's place in preparation for the drive to Ottawa on Friday for the Rideau Lakes Bike Tour.

No running at all Since last Saturday. We arrived here in Custer, South Dakota Tuesday afternooon. Mrs. Tortoise and I walked around the town for a couple of hours. Yesterday, it rained all day so we drove through Custer State Park in the morning seeing Bison, Pronghorn Antelope, wild Turkeys, wild Burros, and Deer. In the afternoon we went to a great Museum ( The Journey) in Rapid City. Today it is cool again ( 4 degees ) but it is sunny with a few clouds.
Off to Custer State Park again. We will be heading into the middle of it on dirt roads and plan a number of short hikes.
Have a great day, everyone!

I am in a terrific mood. No doctors are beating down my door over my CT scan from Monday so I can only assume it is all good news.
Now I must go gut Spencer's room. How I love Spring Cleaning.
That made my day!
Andy- I seriously wish I did live in Ottawa, so many dog and baby loving friends there!
So, I did it. I walked dog (in dog park) and carried baby in the carrier for 35 minutes. so, that is a strength workout (with 17.5lb baby) and a cardio one.

Speed intervals on the bike and a 20 minute run is on the schedule for me today - will duck out of work a bit early to get this done, as sleep was a bigger priority this morning .
