I'm at work after a run in to the office. 4k, crappiest run in a while. It started off on the wrong foot as I had my alarm set for 6:30. I woke at 5:30 and went back to sleep. When I woke up again, I thought "wow, felt like I was asleep longer than an hour", and looked at the clock. 6:58. Dang. I slept with the fan on last night to drown out my neighbours, and it drowned out my alarm. I'd turned it down the other morning and forgot. But up I got and ran. The first km was awesome. Then the shinsplints started. To the point of needing to hobble. They hurt, SO BAD.

Lots of stretching once I got to the gym.

Headache today. :( I will go for a short run after work, simply because I am going stir crazy from not having done much exercise in the last week. :x Oh, and because they're calling for rain/storms this afternoon, which puts the kybosh on my original plans for OW swim or bike ride.

Alarm went off at 5 but had a hard time getting to sleep so no early run today.

Will do a 5k run or a nice 25k bike ride with my wife after work

Off to work in the Engine Room today... maybe a short 5k this evening if I feel the energy. Seemed to toss and turn all night, didn't get very good sleep.

I like running when it's hot. I get to practice and experiment for Ironman with the salt tabs and hydration. Plus I run down by the beach and it's way more fun running along there when you can people watch. When I run at 5AM, I'm the only one out there!

Done. 6.9 km in 38:12 (5:32/km). With a 15 pound pack on my back. 100% humidity (though it was only 11°C). And two hills.

I think I'll do a 30-40 km ride tonight. :)

My schedule has been a bit all over the place lately...and, for those of you that don't read my log...I've decided to scale back on my goal race for this year, and do another Olympic instead of the Half Iron.

I'm just not that into the long rides this year.....and...that's okay! :)

I made it to the gym after 2 days of scheduling issues.
30 minutes cardio and some weights.

My poor boy wants to spend the day at the fair. I am even willing to dish out the $20 for the ride pass and make a picnic lunch. Trouble is, we are on day 15 or 16 or rain with another week + in the forecast. It is currently just overcast. I hope that holds out long enough to get Spencer some fun. Nice summer vacation. Poor kid.

8km today pretty easy... legs are still complaining a bit. Maybe I'll go along the water- that's always a nice run. :)

going to be another gorgeous day here! But it's a double work day for me so I won't be able to enjoy it.

SO sleepy today in spite of a good 8hr sleep.

I'm going to my total muscle control class tonight, DAM IT! Come hell or high water!

I've got a seriously bad headache and an even more serious case of "the grumps". I haven't exercised in over a week and that is taking it's toll. Sad part is I cut the lawn yesterday after work and was in so much pain in my foot, ITband and hip afterward that it kept me awake in the night. GRRRR! This HAS to get fixed soon!
