ETA: that was the coolest thing I've ever done in my life and its going to kill me to watch it on TV.

Looks like the second half was tough today. Everyone I've been tracking seems to be 10 minutes or more slower on the back half. Even Rick Hellard did 1:18 for the first half and a finish of 2:50. Maybe those "mountains" in Central Park???

The wind really picked up later in the morning. It got gusty at times, so I'm sure that didn't help anyone.

Well done everyone!

Hi folks....thanks for tracking1 I have been wanting to read this thread all day! Race report to follow but the short of it is I got thru the 1/2 in 1:45:xx which is where I wanted to be, but between 25-30km and from there on in I got racked with calf cramps...booo! Still, I was happy with the 3:50 given the amount of of stretching/walking I did over the last 10km....great experience overall....it's New York baby!!

Really neat to come back to Ottawa and find this thread. I had a feeling I was being watched. New York is a great experience. Tons of people. Throw in shopping and some Broadway plays it is a great weekend. It wasn't my fastest time but it is not a easy PB course. Thanks for tracking.
