Re: Good luck guys, Eric D and Eric L @ JFK 50
Never again!
I wanted to quit at halfway because this was not fun at all but my handler lied by telling me that my Coach Eric didn't want me to quit. I kept going but quitted anyways at 2/3 in the race. I sat, rested and waited for 20 minutes but I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for the sagwagon so I went back in the race and ran to the next aid station where I sat and rest for 10 minutes, eating soup and chatting with a spectator. Then, I just htfu and decided to finish no matter what even if it meant walking a lot.
I did it but I am done with Ultra running.

That's fair. You tried it and didn't like it. No one will force you to do it again! Good on you for sticking it out to the end!

Way to go toughing it out to the end, Eric! A lot of ultrarunning happens from aid station to aid station. The idea is to move forward and cover the distance while engaging in mind games.
Congrats on finishing in a respectable time!! Lots of people finished behind you.

Ultrarunner again
