I just checked. My promo codes from last month got me the same price with WJ but I got the direct flights and don't go through TO.

Tell us how you really feel about Toronto, Tori !! :shifty:   :P

I don't mind Toronto just hate switching planes in the winter. I don't trust the weather in January!!! Plus hauling a toddler across the airport sucks!

I'm not going for marathon weekend (we come home the Friday of that weekend)... but I got a credit on my flights to Orlando worth 1687 today because of the seat sale. That was after paying the $50 change fee to do the swap. Same flights, same days, same time... just $1600 cheaper. I'll take it!

Tori, I'm with you about having to take a chance of going through Toronto in winter. I figure the fewer take-offs and landings the better!

Yes, we're staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I seriously checked the flights for coming home on the Sunday when Andy posted that the 1/2 wasn't sold out yet. Then I gave my head a shake. Running a 1/2 after a week of non-stop activity at Disney probably wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. But I did consider it for a bit! I'm actually glad that we are leaving on Friday. We've been there for marathon weekend twice before, and I get very jealous of the people wandering around with their medals! Yes, I have "Disney Donald medal-envy" One day I'll do it, or I'll do the Princess half which is usually around my birthday.

Andy when did you get your race kit pick up email last year? It seems late to me since it is less than a month to go.

Think it was an e-mail confirmation ...

They still have yet to SELL OUT yet, as they are still hovering around 99% for the Full and Goofy, if I recall .. so, should likely be SOLD OUT by this weekend, and I would expect an email by next week ...

ditto +1 on the Disney Park Tickets ... but, will likely buy them via CAA .. Though, kinda thinking of taking advantage of the City Park Pass this year, which includes tickets to Disney, Universal and Sea World, if I recall

And, last day today to register ....

Can't remember about 2009, but this year it started at 5:30am .... likely, due to the increase in participants and their need to get everyone off and running, so that they can clear the roads for the Parks to open at their regular scheduled times ....

According to the schedule .. we'll need to be in the starting corrals by 5am latest ... Wheelchair racers start at 5:30am ... and, first wave starts around 5:35am or so, and last wave expects to start around 6:15am or so ... :?

Not sure what you put in your Time Goal ... for Corral seating ... so, if you want ... you can adjust your start corral at the Expo, based on your current 1/2 PB ... if you are not happy with where they place you when you get your race kit, etc ...

So do they expect you to print them? Or can you still pick them up at the expo? What kind of paper do you need?

Interesting idea.

Print them out before heading out ...

They do have computers and printers, for those who forgot, lost and/or did not bother in printing them out, beforehand ... Just save you a bit of time, to avoid waiting in another line ...

And, for those requiring someone else to pick up their race kits .... there are couple of other forms required, along with a photocopy of the person's ID (i.e. Driver's License) .. and, Disney is 100% serious about this ... As there will be no exception to this rule ...

eta: I assume you meant just the Waiver Forms .. :? As Race Bibs and D-Tags are still included in the Race Kit Pick Up ... which require the signed waiver forms before being given out at the Expo ... :?

Is it time to start OCD'ing about the weather yet ?? :shifty:  It's been hovering in the low to mid '40F's these past weeks, from what I have been hearing .... Freezing for their stand-point, but balmy for running and racing, imo ... 8)
