Back to Winter Saturday

Postby Nicholas » Sat Mar 27, 2010 5:44 am

It's -10 this morning. After running in shorts for a couple of weeks, this will be a shock to the system. Anyway, supposed to do 32K plus this morning on the Trans Canada trail.....

-6 here with no wind!

I was up late having a little meet up at my house with my knitting group. No drinking, but I overindulged on the savoury finger foods and feel a little gross for it this morning...... but I want to get a run in this morning before my mom comes by to take me to the quilt show in Etobicoke......

Abs, spinning, errands and working today. Planning on spending the first half tomorrow, well, you know... running quickly... and the second half in an exhausted heap drinking wine from a straw and mainlining Peeps. Figured it's best to get the errands out of the way today. :)
Next?

Half Day left of conference, then back home to hopefully cycle outside for an hour. Then, company coming for dinner, and they are staying overnight, so much wine will be consumed!

Cold here, but sunny and no wind! Going out for a 16 km Marathon Pace run (4:45 per km) and then carb loading for ATB!

Hope to see lots of maniacs in section 122 tomorrow!

-7C at 9 a.m. Rest day today. 5K race tomorrow when the high is supposed to be 7C, so at 8:50, it will probably be 3/4. Not bad running weather.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU ATBers tomorrow!! Sounds like everyone is pumped!

And now off on a whirlwind weekend of cooking and cleaning! and a bit of fast running :)

I've got nothing today! Complete rest day before ATB

Once again, my house is the beneficiary of excess - non exercising energy! Two bathrooms cleaned, 2 loads of laundry, kitchen cleaned. My husband loves pre race Saturdays, becuase I usually do his regular chores too!

Off to the Expo this afternoon.

Have a good one!

Good Luck ATBers. One day I would like to come out for this race. Today 90 min spin or 30 km outside which ever I can manage with hockey parties and football games. This had been a nice recovery week but I am itching for more.

1.5 hour LSD this morning with a group of friends. We're running on the Lochside Trail in between Victoria and Sidney. Beautiful run, but most importantly, flat. Run will be followed by bacon and eggs. 8)

Easy, untimed 5k to shake out the legs completed this morning. I'm ready and looking forward to the race.

Winter it is indeed! 18km LSD done this morning and it was a challenge with an icy head on wind and getting rugby tackled by a dog not long after the start. Got a nicely scraped knee and elbow and a couple of eggs to show for it.

Off to meet up with friends for coffee now :D

Have a good weekend! and good luck/safe travels ATBers!

After spending most of yesterday in bed with a fever, I thought I was feeling well enough this morning to go for a run. ha. Turned around at 1 mile for a total of 2. :P

Will try to rest up today and tomorrow in the hopes of being ready to go again on Monday!

I haven't run since Monday because of a nasty chest/head cold. Heading out today to try to clear out the lungs and brain. No distance or speed plan I wouldn't want to be running next to me when things start shaking loose.

A lovely day here in eastern ontario- the sun is shining, & it's not too cold. Just did a very nice 17.5 km along the Murray Canal, Wellers Bay, and Lake Ontario. The rest of the afternoon is a cleaning frenzy- expecting 30-40 people tonight for our annual wine & cheese party.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

I did just shy of 7K this morning. I have a classmate that has been staying with me for about a week while she waits to be able to move into a new apartment and despite being up with me until about midnight for a knitting party with my knitting group, she was up at 7:30 to keep me company on my run! It was nice to have someone out with me that early in the morning.

My mom and I just got back from the Etobicoke quilt show which was a lot of fun and very inspiring to see all the quilts. I bought two fat quarters of fabric to make a case for my iPod touch. One is white with black bicycles!
