23ish km on roads, bridges, trails. Felt good to get in my first proper run since this cold strangled me. Still feeling halfway cruddy but running was no sweat. Except it was sweaty.

Nice 32 K run today, part of it on a new-to-me route. Wind was brutal heading out but it was great to have a tailwind for most of the way back. The sudden drop in temperature this weekend has been a real gift and it felt wonderful to be out there and not having to push through heat and humidity. This was my longest run since the Ottawa marathon and the start of the real ramp up to Hamilton. Feeling a lot better about it than a month again, when so many training runs just seemed to suck the life right out of me. Now the trick is to avoid injury...fingers crossed...

Lots of racers must be done by now and they hope they are happy with their results; continued good vibes to everyone still out there!

19.4K in 1:47. I'm really enjoyed the cooler temperatures this weekend.

Congratulations to all the racers this weekend. I hope you all had great races.

I hope all the races went well!

My ankle is still swollen - likely a bit of tendonitis. Yesterday's run seems to have aggravated it. Sigh. I don't think I'll be running this week, instead practicing some old fashioned rest, ice, compression and elevation.

Five days and change to Haliburton.
The road to hell is paved. Run trails.

Back from the Montreal marathon, it was windy!!! The waiting time on the bridge was the worse, I couldn't feel my toes anymore! But the view was amazing =)

Well, even if we ran 20 miles last week, half-marathon #16 wasn't easy! But I got it done =) 2:31 and change. I told Louis-Alexandre to go without me with 4 Km left since my knee started to act up and he finished in 2:21... oh well better be safe than sorry, Chicago is my A-goal after all!!

Have a good day everyone

15K in 1:41 done. It was a beautiful day for a run. It's now clouded over and the wind has picked up a bit, so the morning was definitely the best part of the day (just like yesterday!).

congrats to JF on the marathon and to everyone else who was racing today!

Had a good day of workouts even with this cold I've got - first did a 60min spin with 3 sets of 10min in Z3/5 min recovery, then Dave and the dogs joined me for my brick run - he pushed my pace and we got almost 3.5k done in 19min. Then hit the pool and got in 2600m in an hour.
Race Hard. Race Happy.

One week of no running so far, pretty sure it's another stress fracture, sooooooo, it's at least another five weeks of no running in my immediate future.

Will make a Dr appt and see if I can get an MRI, by the time I get in it'll hopefully show that it's healing. Not much else to do but stay off it.

Still like to read about everyone else's training, so will continue to post - I"m still a "runner" after all, even if I'm on the injured list, for now.

Congrats to all who raced today! It sure is optimal weather :)

Weren't you supposed to be racing today? Dino Dash? Or am I thinking of someone else.

My DH did the Dino Dash 10k. I was going to take the kids to cheer, but used them as my excuse to stay home instead of going out in the rain.
