I will be heading out for 16 km with the RR clinic, and then whatever I decide to add on -- maybe nothing more -- feeling pretty tired this morning -- had a date with Grandson yesterday, and neither of us got a nap AND running after a 2-year-old is more work than running a marathon I think
2014:
Mar - Around the Bay 30 km - Done
May - Sulphur Spring 100 miler - DNS
Sept - Army HM
Sept/Oct - 50 miler
Oct - Pace Bunny - Toronto Scotia Waterfront

27km on the schedule this morning - hoping the main country roads are at least kinda plowed. Right now the subdivision street are snow filled.

Got a good chunk of snow last night, so not sure if my run will be on the hamstermill or outside.
Need some more coffee, see if the snow plow goes by and then I will decide.
In any event 10 k is the plan and then off to the barn to go riding :D

Having been posting a lot (or reading for that matter) but have been running regularly. Treadmill run planned for today. Probably in the range of 16 to 20K, depending on how I feel.

10k done in 1:12. Small group for the new club. Most were doing 5k, and the group doing 10 was a 5:30 pace long run. So I ran between a few groups of the 5k'ers and then at 4k, hit a pair of ladies doing the 10 and ran with them. They cut it short at 7, so did the last 3 on my own. Still nice to have the option of running the first 5k with a group.

Now to thaw out with a pot of coffee. It wasn't too bad, -12, but little wind. Lots of ice, though.

Well, I headed outside but very quickly realized that the footing was going to be pretty terrible. So I did a 35 minute loop from my house and then headed into the basement to finish the run on the treadmill. 90 minutes total. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I am going to make my 940 minute goal this month. I missed one and that's the one that would have pushed me to my goal.

The forecast called for snow, snow, snow. By the time I got home from my run atound 12:30, afternoon, a few flakes had started to fall, but there was just a light dusting. I kept looking outside and seeing some snow, but nothing too crazy... sometimes, I couldn't even see anything falling! Bah. But, this morning, there's about 3 or 4 inches atop my balcony railing. Finally, some accumulation! :)

I'm still debating what to do about my run. I'm meant to go meet friends but my ankle hurts when I flex or walk and turn corners, so I'm not so sure snowy trails are the best idea. Might just head out on the road. (And I have to decide within about 25 minutes.)

Edit: Decision made for me - 1 friend is sick, and they've decided there's too much snow higher up where they live/on the trails. So, I'll run or walk on the road, which is far wiser, given that my ankle aches as I type this!

Lots of snow here this morning

Not sure I'll be able to get to the gym.

Will give the plows a chance to clear the roads and then see what it's like in a bit.

A rest day wouldn't hurt right now anyway.

Today's workout may be walking to the park and SLEDDING.

Rest up a bit, then head to my brothers place for supper, as the middle brother turned 49 today ..

6 kms walking on the treadmill this morning... passed about 50-60 runners from the RR on my way to the Y this morning. Made me smile, but, also extremely envious... LOL.

What a gorgeous day for running outdoors. -3C, no wind

Hoping my ankle heals before winter ends, so I can get some winter running in.

Going out on a limb today. The Saugeen Tri Club has rented the Hanover pool for 3 hours and I am going to see if I can learn to move from A-B! I am a pretty good floater , just never mastered the moving around thing.

Feeling a little tired this morning, a good tired ..little bit of muscles saying WHAT! Thursday I did a 42.2 on the treadmill, Friday it was a day of Skiing at Blue and the yesterday I did a little 10K recovery run followed by an evening at Blue again.

I have to get my daughter to work in Hanover for noon. Instead of driving the 32K back home I am going to hit the Gym to lift weights and do a small Run before the Swim Clinic.
