Heading our for a 6km run on the K&P trail with Audey. Getting it done before the day becomes a real scorcher.
Then housework...getting ready to host a couple east Coast friends (Q and lonerunner aka Brendan and Lisa)who are arriving tomorrow for a few days. Very excited...haven't seen them since CTRR 2006!!!

C-Moss is gonna be thrilled to open up her B&B!

More K-Town Tri work to do today as well.

Morning! 12K done before breakfast to beat the heat! Lovely now, but you can tell it's gonna be brutal later!

My runs have gradually been improving again! Certainly feel good this morning! Watching TDF and eating breakfast now. :D

Did my long run yesterday so today's plan was to get up early and walk the dogs. Unfortunately I was hit was a flu last night so my plans were changed to taking tylenol and pepto and going back to bed  I never get flus so might have been something I ate, who knows. Still not feeling great so the plan is to do as little as possible and stick to fluids today. If I have the energy I'll go out to buy a bottle of ginger ale and otherwise I will park on the couch all day. Dogs are happy and this whatever seems to be passing so ... ! Glad I did my LSR yesterday and am not missing it today or worrying about how I'd get it in tomorrow!

Back to the couch for me

have a great day everyone!

Ran 24k this morning in 2:18:56 (5:47/km)! WooHoo. Done. That's my longest run since the NY marathon last Nov. Man, I was done at 19k - the heat was really starting to get to me. But, did it. Yeah! On to enjoying the beautiful sunny day.
I've been plagued with terrible blisters all Spring on many of my toes so each run has been quite painful. Double bandaged and used hockey tape this morning and for the most part, it was much better.

Me Too, Me Too. 3:00 - 30km trail run all through the Ottawa Greenbelt. So great to have these trails in our backyard. Running before 7:00am to get ahead of the heat, only the last 15min was brutal. Re-Fuel time.

my run today will likely get pre-empted by a nap and/or housework.

later today:
- flash mob water fight. I hope they don't cancel it due to the rain... water fight in the rain sounds fun. ;)
- harry potter!

Tough 20K this morning. Played the whole, hot 90 minutes in our3-0 win last night and the legs were dead this morning. Anyway, it's done, despite the heat and the cement legs. Time for a nap....

Went for a really easy 6k, this morning. Will be working towards a faster 5k, as well the usual distance runs.
No one cares what I would do; therefore, I can do anything!!

I ran 42.2k; Let's see the other donald try to trump that
