*yawn*

My dinner plans tonight were cancelled, but I think today will still be a rest day! I guess time will tell.... ;)

I hope there is a miracle today. I'm sure there will be somewhere. Not sure which one this thread was hoping for, but I guess we'll find out.

I'm home sick today. I've been under the weather since Saturday, and just not feeling great today. I need a new health regime, I think. I've been feeling sick too often this summer.

I think today will end up being a rest day. I biked to work, though.

Speed work today. I started it by sleeping in :roll: I blame Andy and his lack of 4:30AM postings to inspire me to be up shortly after 5AM! :lol: Result is the sun was out full force with 88% humidity - BLAH Despite it I had a great run. Last year I could not keep up with the lawn mowers at the school where I use the track ... this year I beat them! :D

Today is the anniversary of Hannah (the little blue wonder dog) coming home to live with me and her 2 canine brothers. Since my back walkway is not yet paved and my patio stones are still all piled up she is celebrating by having a game of dirt dog with her brother Shadow (or Snorkers as I call him). She is now Hannah the little blue, grey, brown and black dirt dog! Shadow, despite being in the dirt has stayed clean and Caleb just stayed in the house (he is post mega massage last night and still jello dog!) Crazy critters!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning!

I actually feel like I could run today (no knee or hip pain). Today is DHs soccer night so I don't actually get to run though. :(

I am going to walk to the Dr's for Miss M's 4 month check-up, and hope I don't get thunderstormed on for the walk home. I also hope Miss M decides to actually like the stroller because I don't relish carrying her both ways (about 5k round-trip).

Climbing tonight. Will hold off on run until tomorrow evening. In the meantime, will continue to walk to/from campus today (total 5k).

I'm now fish-sitting for a friend. A little stressful as I really don't want to have a dead fish on my hands.
Current PBs (not necessarily from a race):
5k = 28:53 - new goal 27:30 (was 30:00)
10k = 1:03:00 - goal < 0:59:59
10 mile = 1:38:59 - goal not sure yet, probably 1:36
21.1k = 2:14:09 - goal < 2:10:00

Spent an hour this morning doing MC2 Shoulder and Arms (from the upcoming P90X2). Love that I can sweat that much just from an upper body workout :D
Am now off to watch my kids, who are watching the roofers - then heading to work. Expect to close out the day with a run, likely between 10-15K, depending on Mother Nature.

Great 50 min recovery run early this morning. Now let the packing begin. We leave tomorrow afternoon and I am already tearing up about leaving the kids. Yikes, tomorrow I will be a mess.

Done, and a somewhat hilly route too. It's still pretty humid, but better than it was. A 5:11 pace is as fast as I could manage, but I still enjoyed being outside on a nice sunny day. 8)

Gorgeous weather we are having out here. I love it- hope it continues into the week when we go camping. :)

This morning I did 15k in 1:26 with 11k at tempo. Although my "tempo" pace was barely faster than my race pace segments on Sunday- some residual fatigue there I guess but the run felt really good. I'm trying to squeeze in some extra mileage before we go away tomorrow, so I'll probably wake up early to do 16k very easy.
