Thank you sooooo much Andy -- now to get baking -- I owe you sooooo many cookies :D

So, wish I would have been able to be there, and celebrate your 50th Birthday in Boston, Sylvie ... as, I know how much that this was your Dream when you first started running a few years ago ...

Now, just let's hope BAA doesn't find out that I paced you, or your time may not be recognized ...  :shifty: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh:

eta: No worries about the cookies .. as you already covered my lunch at the M&G on race day ...

OK.

Now that I've stopped shaking I can type!

Congrats to ALL who got in! Hey Robin! Wanna pace me?

I didn't know until I got an e-mail from a friend, and a FB wall post from GNU! Rushed to check the entrants list, and THERE I WAS!

Seriously, all summer, never thought I stood a chance.

From the BAA:

The Boston Marathon

After a busy weekend of analysis and the verification of qualifying performances from applicants who submitted an entry for the 2012 Boston Marathon, both those who are accepted and those who the race is unable to accept will begin to receive notification this afternoon. We once again appreciate the cooperation we received from marathoners during this process. Congratulations to those who will be running here on April 16, 2012, but we also wish to extend our thanks to those who we cannot accept for submitting their entry. After all applicants are notified and later this afternoon, the B.A.A. will post to www.baa.org the qualifying times across all age groups and for both genders which were needed for entry this year.

Yep, 'cause I already had Goofy Challenge and NYC Marathon slated for 2012, and not sure how possibly I would have been able to afford Boston, without cancelling NYC ....

Then again, it appears that Chicago 2012 my be the RM Hoopla of choice ...   :shifty:

Sorry about that Andy and Lorne. Lorne- I do think you should apply to that contest!!

Apparently the cutoff was BQ-1:14 which means that cheryl is also not in. :( She would have needed 3:58:46

I'm not sure if they did it the same for all age groups but that one is for sure.

So am I  and I don't really know you. Think you should apply in the IRun contest. Would a petition help your case??? Also if you want to pursue the charity route, count me in.

I'll be there trying to qualify in Ottawa in May if I don't get a BQ in Philly this year.

Congratulations for those who made it in! I'm so happy for you!!!

And my heart aches for those who just missed. Mcshame, you should totally apply to that contest. Andy, do I not remember reading that Hamilton is the fastest Boston Qualifying course in Canada? You'll get it there, I'm sure!

Sub 3????
Oh, maybe you mean BQ-3:XX mins?

I think that's a great idea. I've still got 2 years of 3:10 BQ, so I'm going to need to be 3:07ish. Having the support of a group of folks working together toward a BQ-3ish would be awesome.
