My friend in Toronto may not end up doing the 30K. I'll keep you in mind if she wants to sell it. :)

The cheapest one is to run the race as a bandit :topic:

Don't run as a bandit. If enough people do that, it causes shortages at the aid stations, running out of finishing medals etc... IF you do run as a bandit, pull off the course and dont finish in Copps and dont take any aid from the stations....

Okay, I have a confession to make... I was eating pizza and drinking wine last night -- Coyote's Run 2010 Cab Merlot from Niagara-on-the-Lake, of course!

And I started surfing the web (always a mistake!), and then I accidentally...bought an ATB bib on Kijiji.

Yes, I've only ever run 22k, and I am not exactly the master of hill training, but I figure, if worse comes to worst, I'll walk the uphill at the end.

I did chilly last weekend, and 14k today, and I'll do 25k later this week and hope for the best.

Oh, man....these Niagara winemakers have a lot to answer for!

If anyone else feels like 'accidentally' running ATB I have my bib up for sale. Pulled my hamstring a couple of weeks ago and am now officially out of the race :( Asking $70. PM me if you're interested.

Procrastination Lesson 101: Officially registered for the 30 K on Sunday March 11, 2012. Purchased through Kijiji from a nice gentleman from Stoney Creek who wanted to get rid of his bib number. Yes, yesterday I drove to Stoney Creek...

Procrastination Lesson 102: This evening I did my first training (treadmill completely flat) for ATB. I ran 20 miles (+/- 32 Km) in 3 hours 8 minutes and 41 seconds. I guess I could finish the 30 Km in less than 3 hours on March 25….. or :naughty:

Procrastination Lesson 102: This evening I did my first training (treadmill completely flat) for ATB. I ran 20 miles (+/- 32 Km) in 3 hours 8 minutes and 41 seconds. I guess I could finish the 30 Km in less than 3 hours on March 25….. or :naughty:

Wow  And I'm selling my bib because I just missed the last 3 weeks of training. I don't think I'm sufficiently prepared and don't want to risk further injury. Maybe I should be more adventurous like you Alfie

Alfie does this every year ... such a "Sandbagger" and, I predict that he will come in at 2:45 or less ... 'cause he will be right up front on the start line, as he does every year .. :shifty:
