Re: Marathon Sunday!
Congrats to today's marathoners!
I did 8 miles, and it felt really good after how crappy I've been feeling lately. Still can't shake the headache. :(

At my parents' place this afternoon- bbq burgers and sausages for lunch, then a run with my dad (I did 8k, he did 6), and then we're off to the Belleville Santa Claus parade soon.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Re: Marathon Sunday!
ggrrrrr.... i tried to track my brother at the Philadelphia marathon - had registered to get their updates via email - - their system was a total failure...I can't even see his finish time, and it is 5:00 pm and according to their website results, many runners managed world record finish times, in spite of running their first 10K in 60 minutes +!
enough griping now - I am going out to run 7K and let some steam off - very windy outside!
when I get back, I will have a nice glass of wine and some grilled octopus for dinner (yum)

That's to bad- I wonder why these big races often have such colossal tech failures - even when we pay for it.

5K today at the Whitby Waterfront Races. Ran a 25:27 which isn't bad since I had to walk a couple of times....saw Alfie out there as well! Lots of wind but overall not a bad day for running. Official results not up yet... Amelia ran the 1K and finished in 6:01 for 18/41 placement.

Good job guys!
Thanks everyone!!!! Perfect conditions in Philadelphia today! I really tried to hold on for a sub-5h but it wasn't in the cards with this cold still hanging on. I'm happy to have gotten my 2nd best marathon time. 39s and it was a PB! For sure next time!
Tried to look for Pat but didn't see him!!
You're amazing!
Rest day for me Thought of you today though xo

Congratulations to all the racers!!!
An easy 12k on the TM this morning, pace was a little faster than LSD pace as I was late getting the run done and had lots to do today. Pace was 6:31/km. My legs felt tired but I know they're going to be a lot more tired next week since I'll be taking my long run outdoors next week (I hope).

This sucks! I can tell you that it worked for some people since my 'supporter' back home and my Dad were able to get live tracking e-mails about my race. I know a lot of people are complaining on FB about their time not showing up too...

Yes and decided at 6am on race day to actually run it. Despite a wonky hamstring and a locked-up SI joint, he managed a large PW of 1:58. But still had fun doing it!

Re: Marathon Sunday!
I am back home now and finally have access to internet again. Philly was great.
I noticed someone mention problems with tracking system but my wife got the updates on time on her phone so she knew when to go watch for me at the half and at the end.
