out this morning for a short speed work out. Nice morning. I like this kind of March weather much better then the first few days of the month! Agility later this morning and depending on the trails may take Miss Hannah for a hike on lunch post agility! :D

Strength Biomechanics class

5 sets of 5 deadlifts with 48kg kettlebell
5 sets of 3 single arm press with 12 kg kettlebell

the deadlift is feeling pretty easy now especially as I perfect my form. I suspect it is time to more to the bar instead of the kettlebell. The sets of three overhead press didn't get really hard until the last set. I'll try for four next time.

12.19km with Pup. Why 12.19km? Well I have been a little dubious of the distance measurement by my new 910xt. I updated the firmware on Sunday morning before my run, and Sunday's run and yesterday's seemed longer (an therefore my pace faster) than I thought. So today I ran with two GPS - the 910xt and my old 205. Well - the 910xt measure the run as 12.19km, where the 205 measured the run as 12.26km. So I was wrong, the 910xt is recording the run shorter (maybe more accurate), guess I am running just a little faster than I thought. But it also shows that these GPS things are just a guideline, and we shouldn't be too upset if a 21.1km race is 21.3km on our garmins.

Physio at lunch for some IMS. Will be sore tomorrow.

Slow paced 7.5K. My foot is still sore, so I had to take it easy. Wondering if it's PF flaring up again. It's not in the same spot as last time though, so not sure. Going to see the Dr next week to get another RMT referral.

Erin. See if you can your hands on a pair of these. My physio therapist recommended them for me for my Morton's Neuroma (you basically just stand on them and massage/move side to side and back to front in a small area of the footing moving slowly from the heel to the toe), but they are great for all parts of the feet and specific point massage (TFL for instance) - hurts like a SOB though ;). I got mine from the Athletic Club here in Ottawa.

4 miles on TM last night with some inclines. 7 miles planned for tonight. Supposed to be a tempo run but we'll see...made blood donation #31 this morning!

Just an easy 80min run planned for later today, probably at lunch. Warm and windy!

Morning!

Awesome out there this morning! Sunshine, 7C, but some wind for sure.

Around 17K run commute. I say around, because my garmin always goes wonky when I get to my office building here downtown  I know my pace did not slow 30s/k in the last 2K.

Have a great day!

Thanks for the tip- I'll try to find those. Maybe I'll send my wife on a shopping mission- she seems to be more skilled at that area than I am.

made up the swim that I missed yesterday morning in the evening as my coach sent me the workout. Then Dave and i were going to run, but he forgot his shorts and didn't want to run in his speedo, so no run was done, which I was ok with!

Meeting up with my coach prior to my spin tonight to get a run in with her and then 90min coached spin.

Nice 30 min run on the TM this morning. My speed is improving and I am starting to feel like a runner again :D
