5km done to get the blood flowing to my brain... writing an exam this afternoon. :)

the run was slightly better than yesterday. I'm still very much out of running shape.

My trainer had to cancel on me today, so it looks like I am going to have to figure out a way to kick my own a$$!

SUPER hot out and humid. My truck mirror read at 25 deg.

Aimed for a 22km, ended up with 14. Was so hot, and had to walk a bit, turned onto the next road, and the wind was insane. Decided since I was walking a bit, made my run into spontaneous intervals. Ran a km, walked a min, etc.
We have a check up at sick kids tomorrow, so will make it up on Wednesday. :?

I don't know if I was channeling my inner Boston Marathoner, but I was booting it more than usual, with a 5k with mostly sub-6 min/km pace. Unfortunately, this meant I had to take a few more walk breaks than normal... and then the stairs of the River Valley.

I didn't know the runner's high happened after the run, made me forgetful, and unbalanced! Or maybe that's needing food... Solution in progress.

I have a short (4K) run planned for after work. Likely it will be warm, windy and wet by the time I get home.

3.5K done. Not wet, but quite warm and VERY windy.

Another rest day here, it wasn't super pleasant for my cough today with the humidity but it's getting better. I'm even hoping to be able to go to tae-boxe tomorrow. :D

Hot Monday

Postby horselady » Mon Apr 16, 2012 6:54 pm

14 hot, windy, hilly km's done at noon today. 6:10 pace and it really pooped me out! Although need to suck it up considering what all the Boston runners were dealing with today.Sore arch back in right foot. I think it is my new shoes. Damn should have stuck with my old reliable Sauconys. Think I will be shopping tomorrow, races coming up and I don't want to be sidelined and lame!

No snails, but the snakes were out in full force. All curled up, enjoying the heat and humidity - snakes are my annual sign spring has arrived!

2.75K in 22:03 with Duncan (figured we should practice for his solo 2K this Sunday), followed by 6.57K with Piko pup in 36:46.
