Listen to the schedule - orleans_andy :)

Easy 45min recovery run with pup this morning. Elliptical at lunch with the usual stretching and rolling. The joy of morning runs. In the final 6km of my run, through the streets of Kanata this morning, I saw one car. Beauty!

Morning! Ugly morning out there in the GTA :? Nasty mix of snow, rain and wind.

Off to the gym it was! 13K in 1:16. Felt really good! Now I have to figure what training I can work in for the Niagara women's half. I may even do a long run this weekend! One advantage of not having run Boston very fast has been quick recovery.

7.5K this morning before the rain/ snow started falling. If it's not raining after work I'll try to convince my daughter to go out with me for a few km too.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

An hour on the elliptical this morning, as planned. It felt pretty good - not as good as running, of course, but still more energizing than doing nothing, or just walking. And it's a decent calorie burn.

Happy taper madness to all who are there :)

My right hamstring has been a bit tight/sore after Sunday's LSD (I think that it didn't like those slippery rocks on the Cataraqui Trail), so I may take today's 8k moderate to an 8k easy. I have a massage tonight so that will really help.

I'm taking a rest day. I ran just under 5k yesterday instead of taking a rest day. I may head to the gym for a little strength/stretching at lunch, though.

7k last night and 5k tempo tonight. I love how much easier it is to run and breathe in Ottawa than up in the mountains last week. :D

Today was a hill workout with level 7 incline and felt really strong. Ready for the hills in the up coming Diefenbooker Classic in Carp, Ontario in a few weeks.

Dave's been sick with a very bad cold since coming home from Boston last week (he's got a very horrible cough now) - and now I'm fighting it - could feel it start yesterday, woke up with sore throat and ears today - so nixed the swim squad this am and stayed home from work - will just rest and veg today with lots of fluids, cold fx, and vit C. My main goal is to keep it at bay - will shuffle the swim/bike that was on the schedule for today to later this week.

Hay is almost in the barn - pushing through when sick isn't going to help me at this point. (I sound convincing, don't I? I keep telling myself this, but am not really believing it fully though. gah).

landslide by seats but definitely not by popular vote... there's a pretty big imbalance on that!

swimming after an appointment this morning... then hopefully a run later in the day.

Well, I did a quick and fun 5k yesterday with my co-worker at lunch, and then raced (just raced!) to the voting booth, so I'm giving myself a rest-day to go and meet other Maniacs!

10 km for me this morning with 7 km at tempo. I felt like I was dragging during the warm-up, but the tempo section actually felt decent.

As I told Carla last time I was in Calgary (and sucking wind badly on a run) - Altitude Sucks!

4 mile run on tap for me today, hopefully I will have time to do it.

10.4 k done, half on TM, half on indoor track at the gym.
I have no power and of course priorities dictate that I have access to RM, so came and worked out at the gym and use their wifi.
